1 place The Astro mod - this little beast has never ever played silly buggers , never said I don't like that atomiser , never been fussy about batteriesI press fire it fires, It sits on the car seat pin not locked ( sonetimes) and has never fired, over the last few months this little beauty has done me proud. It got briefly overlooked when I had my stingray but that's covered later. I will buy another Astro mod. Highly recommended. 2nd place The Nemesis - the only reason this is second is because of the firing button , it's a bit like visualising the image of a graceful swan then seeing it's gangly legs under the water . The firing mechanism can feel crunchy , loose ( even with extra magnets) but I'm being incredibly picky . It's performed just as well as the astro , the adjustable pin is simple yet perfect , it's never turned it's nose up at any atomiser or battery and I think it hits harder then the astro. Highly recommended. 3rd place - the stingray. In the beginning I fell for the looks , it really is a gorgeous looking mod, but looks aren't everything. The firing button became crunchy over time ( cleaned, lubed it ) , the floating pin design means that some tanks would fire and someone would sit there in silence , doing nothing. Batteries grrr two identical batteries, with one it fires but it totally ignores the other. It really was a case of looks over substance . I read all the most common issues with stingray and how to fix internet blurb, but bottom line is , it's a tube with a battery , it's purpose is to reliability fire my Rba but it couldn't deliver . But this only became apparent as our relationship ( lol) matured. I can't now after usage recommend this.

Nice write-up @purple1234, and great pics. I really like the finish you've applied to your mods.
I own these three mods, and I'd put them in a different order to you - but there are so many clones of each now that quality is probably mixed depending on what factory it came from.
I'd go with the nemesis first, it's just a workhorse. My button has been fine, I still have the springs in both my nemesis clones and they are faultless. Mine are from FT but bought back when there weren't loads of different clones available, and they have been excellent. Second is the stingray - I have the black copper infinite version and it is superbly well made, albeit with a slightly crunchy button. Nothing I own hits harder, or looks prettier. Lastly the Astro, but I agree with everything you said about it - it's a good mod. My only issues are that it has no airflow in the top cap, and at 23mm it only perfectly matches a taifun of similar. I find telescopic mods a little wobbly, and my nemmie and stingray just feel better made. It's still one of the best clone mods available on FT though.
Just my opinion, but if anyone is considering a mech mod they can't go far wrong with a quality clone of one of these three.

ionian cheers dude. Damn good point on the astro airflow , I've overcome this on my RBA's with an airhole at the bottom by screwing it on less tightly but for all side airhole tanks it's spot on. The nemesis is used at home only in 18650 mode and performs spot on. I agree with so many clones out there it's best to go with the known vendors , I might have a look at the stingray you have as mine is no longer fun to use. Ps I sandpaper my mods , it gives them a really nice finish. The nemesis refuses to be sandpapered ( tough bugger).

Have to agree with @purple1234 about the Astro & Stingray (mine are clones). Loved the Stingray at first, but it auto fires too easily (I will have ago at drilling out the magnets and replacing as no suitable spring). The Astro is such a good mod and I don't have anything that needs airflow from the bottom. I made new 510 pins from brass screws as I don't like the slot in the 510 and I put o'rings in the groves to help grip. It has the best locking ring that can be operated single handed, nice size and a very respectable voltage drop. 18350 with Kayfun nano is great for dog walking.

VapingBad can you post photo of the modification to astro sounds good . The 1st pin from the left is the stock one, then one I made from a M5 screw + the off-cut, with a M5 screw behind, then the next two are M4 screws cut down with the head ground flat and finally a M4 screw. And my dog walking set-up with grip o'rings, just used 10 mins ago
