trying to rebuild a CE4 for an hour and failed. Help

robby just tried again and thats the point, there is nothing to hold the wire inside the pin. if i clip it, it's just floating up and down there.

sonicflowjoe if i try that, when you push the centre pin in it toutches the side and or, pushes the wire back out the top.

just tried again, taking the other grommet (the one on the pin in photo) off, putting it in the hole first get the side wire in fine. get the wire coming through the (pin grommet ) but when you put the pin back it shorts the wire against the side. ahhhhhhhh it canny be that difficult.

If I remember correctly there was a fibreglass sleeve inside the tube to keep the legs apart and stopping them shorting, but invariably when you took these apart it crumbled or got damaged.

Any of you guys got some old protank heads to practice on lol
I'm not going to take the one that works out of my pt3 just to play with it.

I should be able to send you a couple to have a play with. Have some that were out of some copy evods I got off ebay. They have shorter stems. Should still work ok in a protank once rebuilt I reckon.
