Joining the ranks

So far I have only ever bought pre-made juice.
But put an order in on lt ecigs yesterday, so I'm looking forward to joining the mixing folk.

Going to start easy with some 12mg base (have realised this might be a mistake, but I'll look into mixing up bases when I get through the 100ml I've got coming).
1ml + 10ml syringes
(will be re-using old JJ bottles - got enough of 'em! lol)
And,
10ml 555 tobacco
10ml vanilla
10ml banana

oh, and an Igo -M clone to drip it all into! 

Basically, I ordered some juice that I liked, but didn't love, and thought it could be better if mixed with another flavour. For example, I found the JJ chocolate brownie overpowering, but thought it would be nice with a bit of vanilla in there to calm it down/sweeten it up a bit.
But then, why buy a vanilla juice and have no control over the strength of it, etc if I can make my own to suit my taste.
Hence, my mixing journey has begun.... wish me luck!!


Oh, and a big thanks to all the mixers on this board, before I found this place I didn't even know such a thing was possible!

I'm starting mixing today too. Don't know where to start TBH. Got 72mg nic, PG, VG, baccy and peanut butter concentrate. Whatta to do.

Same here. Made my first ever mix yesterday. I made 5ml 15% vanilla custard(cappella) at 12 mg nic as a tester. My order of cupcake world butterscotch and cappuccino arrived today. Going to try a butterscotch cappuccino over the weekend.

ruffdog I'm a newbie too so can't advise much, but I would suggest making small batches at first so if you mess up or don't like the mix you won't have wasted much in the way of ingredients

i jumped straight in and got 72mg nic a 30mill mix takes around 5mill of nic 5mill of pg and 15 mill of vg in a 50/50 mix depending on your flavours so get plenty of vg

good luck to all the new mixers, you are embarking on a journey of enlightenment you will find great satisfaction in vaping your first good mix, but there will always likely to be one . i have not bought any pre-made juice since i started mixing, just keep it on the quiet otherwise you'll find yourself very busy mixing for friends and family.

LOL, I hear you... seems to be a whole new avenue of this hobby to explore.
I'm a big fan of JJ Caramel Blend, so to make life simple I will probably get myself some of that concentrate.
Does anyone know how similar Caramel Blend is to RY4? I haven't tried an RY4 yet, but I guess I will like it if it's similar to CB?
Or I might try mixing my own, but soooo many baccy flavours out there... hard to know which one to get.
Q, something that worries me is whether people buy so many concentrates because they aren't finding ones they like, or is it just so much better than buying pre-made that people go crazy with it?


rigdriver, the base I got is 98.8%VG, so I'm looking forward to blowing some big clouds with the Igo-M on my Stingray!!!
But.... can't find where sells the 72mg, have seen 54mg at JJ and LT, but no 72....... 

And another random question... does anyone know what percentage of Caramel Blend concentrate I would use to get something like what JJ sells. They don't sell 100%vg so I'm not looking for identical, just close.
Or is it a case of start low, and keep adding until you get there (could get bored waiting for it to steep each time I add a few drops of concentrate... or is that not necessary?)

Thanks, but too late ausfost, I haven't received my first order from LT yet, and thanks to redz, I've just put an order for some 72mg and a couple extra concentrates over a Vapers Emporium....

no more spending for me this month.... (probably)

So currently waiting on:
100ml 12mg 100%vg (to mix and go)
100ml 72mg 100%pg (need to get some vg to mix this with - boots I reckon)
10ml banana
10ml tobacco
10ml vanilla
10ml Ry4
10ml smoother
and a couple of syringes!!
Oh, and my Igo-M!!


So for 40 odd squids I should be good for about 6 months (bar a few extra concentrates and vg!!).......... so happy!!
£40 wouldn't have last me 3 weeks when I was smoking!! (student style rollies - v cheap!!)

Good for you & a nice bit of buying there, leo.

If I can mix, then anyone can, don't be wary of it, as it's simple, especially with all the calcs available & not forgetting all the real mixing brains on here. (not me!! )
You'll be mixing like & saving even more.
