i can smell, amazingly amazing!

I've noticed my sense of smell coming back over the last 7 weeks but I've never really been able to smell all my life.  With allergies for ever and smoking since I was 16 I could only taste a few smells.  Notably gas and shite! 
Gail is mooching in the kitchen and I could hear her chopping something up, seconds later I sniffed, wtf is that I shouted through, to which she replied, " nothing to smell here"  sitting here thinking I'm going loopy and bingo, it hit me. HOT DOGS / BRINE. Yep she said, just wanted to see how long it'd take you to figure it out!!!  She's a meanie pop!
Went upstairs for a pee and coming down, yep hot dogs everywhere.  How cool is this.

Turns out I have just been brought a store cupboard special. Hot dogs, savoury rice, sweetcorn, pasata, chilli and paprika! Cooling down right now.

After 30 odd years of heavy smoking and two of vaping I have the keenest sense of smell in our house, it shocked me to when I realised.

Yum, that was good.
Yeah, truth be told, now I can smell my own you know what's, that's a downside. But, food sniffing and guessing what it is is becoming a little hobby in itself, especially walking Rax when we go past all the hotels and guesthouses! First thing I really really sniffed food wise was about 2 weeks in, fish n chips whilst walking him.
Great stuff.
PS, ther was a load of mozzarella in that dish too,yummily gooey chunks of molten cheese.

It still amazes me, after I spent most of my life without those heavenly scents.

Fresh baked bread, the fresh smell after it's rained, flowers in general .. all smells I love and hopefully will be enhanced as the days/weeks go by

Great isn't it ruffdog? Though it does have its downsides. Reading this august website last night and tooting away I noticed a strange, pungent pong... the cat was sat next to me staring brainlessly into space... she'd emitted a meaty guff. Yuk!

Always had a good sense of smell or so I thought, but today on my daily walkabout I could actually smell Sunday dinner being cooked coming from a couple of houses, and I adore the smell of a newly mowed lawn, heaven Mmmmm, can wait to start mowing

Mmmm freshly mowed grass I agree is bliss.  I like to go outside and run around on it just after its been cut    doesn't half stick to your feet though.
