FT dont make anything, but they do sell lot`s of lovely shiny things, and at a price that is cheaper than just about any other company selling other people`s products. If something is a copy of something else it really doesn`t mean that it is worse than the original. Most of these things are relatively simple things (which is why they are easy to copy). My favourite atty at the moment is a Magma 1:1 clone. Originaly they were sold in the States for over $100. Mine cost less than a tenner. Now an atty is a coil and something to contain it with a hole at the top where you suck the vapour. It sits on my FT copper Nemesis clone which cost very little. There is nothing out there which hits noticeably harder than a copper mech mod kept clean, no matter how much money you part with. The clone arguement has been around for ever. When it comes down to it, all of this stuff could be a clone of the original maker of the ecig. Thank god he never patented it, or we would be stuck with that. It`s a battery, a switch, a tube and a coil. It`s not rocket science. Probably the most important thing about using FT is that it brings vaping to the masses at an incredible price, I wonder how many people are vaping now who wouldn`t have started without Fasttech and without the constant pressure on manufacturers and venders to keep their prices down. Another big factor is that it turns vaping into an enjoyable hobby while you are giving up smoking at the same time relatively painlessly. Now all we need now is someone to give Fasttech some decent competition Focalecig are having a go and succeeding to a certain extent. I like their innovative promotions and inexpensive prices.

To summarise then : FT metal is weaker than other brands (the FT Hana Modz clone I got is much lighter physically than the Cana Modz Cloupor) and they have crap engineering, awful QA, they have a pile em high mentality. FT electronics are to be avoided if you don't know what a 30W battery can do to your hand or face. Or have good life insurance. FT however are cheap. Safety first folks Glad I got the Cloupour then, only thing I don't like about it is the firing button, it really digs into your finger

Looking at certain products MYEPACK seems to be cheaper and for genuine products too. Here is one example from my last order ( and first )
Example HERE
Just with everything else nowadays , it pays to shop around.

Safety first folks 1: Your clone is cheaper metal. FT don't make metal anything. The discussion threads usually point out if it's good or not. However, I had a mech that was described by many as indestructible. I wrecked it in a week. 2: I have batteries, and a Vamo from FT - perfect. 3: Yep. Not trying to be rude dave. Especially as you pointed me towards rayon. But if you stick to the tried and tested on FT, it's usually fine - electronic or not. I think more people have had issues on their recent purchases from focal.

Ive had good and bad from both fasttech and focal. Clone kanger tanks from both are great, You struggle to tell the difference in quality from the original. 2 mech mods (one from each) Both utter cack , The mod from fastech feels good material quality but suffers on bad threading so is nearly useless (I only have one tank thats doesn`t fall off) The mod from focal its just a flimsy piece of cack and again suffers from bad threading but this time on the lock ring. China is like a lucky dip, sometimes you win , sometimes you loose. Some things are 1/3rd the cost of over here, somethings about the same. I think UK sellers try and avoid the cack as they know it will comeback, China sellers just seam to care about low costs and really for £5-10 probably don`t get much sent back by the majority of buyers as its too much hassle for a few quid. Fastech won`t live a review if you slate a product which is pretty grim Not tried with focal as the mod I bought was on special and I can`t find it listed now. You take your chances with any china seller and if 2 out of 3 items work your still usually quids in . So far Ive had 3 mods and only one is any good so Ive about broke even on that one.

It's usually the discussion threads on FT that point out issues. I've seen bad reviews, but heard that it's difficult to get them posted. I've either been very lucky, or subconsciously selective. All my mechanical mods have been great, and at the cheaper end of the scale. my Launcher, about £11 is the pick of the bunch. Perfect threads, nothing even slightly out on it. I've banned myself from looking and rely on robby for posting new stuff. I suppose the answer is don't go too barmy buying from China. UK sellers presumably buy in bulk, so can weed out any duds.

Well said robby. I don't think Focalecig carry the same range as Fasttech but a big plus for me is any problem with an order from Focalecig, in the past has been easily resolved by a quick pm to Foclecig. What I have found very irritating from Fasttech is their "ships in ? business days". Placed an order on 5/6/14 which allegedly shipped in 5 business days. I raised the point with Fasttech on 25/6/14. After they looked into the order, it did ship on the 30/6/14, twenty days late ! I would say that FT are using the "ships in ?" as a ploy knowing that if Focal have it in stock, if its only a few coppers difference in price then most people would pay it. Fortunately for me, I have never had an issue with the quality of anything bought from either company, authentic or not but, from my experience, Focalecig certainly blows the Fasttech boat out the water on delivery time.

Just this minute gone back on and cancelled the couple of bits which were still waiting and got the price transferred into the gift certificate. I'll put it towards a nitecore d4 so happy days anywho

I can`t be bothered to trawl through their forum to find if a product is good, If your site allows reviews they all should be posted (as long as they arn`t rude etc) , Any company that only lives good reviews is a pretty shitty company.

My only problem has been with FT, I placed an order where one item was on reorder with an estimation of 5 days, after 5 days it said it was in stock but my order didn't get sent, then a couple of days later it was out of stock again. I raised a ticket asking if they would split the order to get the other stuff on the move which they have done, and the OOS item will be sent seperately when its back in stock.
Focalecig have given me no problems at all, and everything I've received has been of EXCELLENT quality, if I have the choice of where to buy an item I use Focal every time

I reckon the "ships in 7 days" or whatever is an easy way to boost their bank balance so they can order stuff in and get someone else to pay for it The delays after the quoted 7 days?..............maybe they haven`t got enough cash in to pay for the quantity they have orderred;)

It`s good that we have such a good forum. Nothing gets past us and we are able to pass on all good/bad info be it either the products or the shipping on to less experienced China shoppers EDIT ............... just so everyone knows, I dont get any back handers / commision / favours etc from anyone.

Foclecig usually pops up with a message to let folks know there is a problem with supply for whatever and that they are doing their best to resolve it. With FT its the never never if you don't contact them. I think people will catch on to the FT "ships in whatever days" and if its not showing as "in stock" will not order. If its a ploy to generate advance funding as is your thinking robby, and you may well be right, in the long run it might have a negative effect and push customers to order from another source.
