Hi, Have failed three times in a row trying to make dual coils for the kanger aerotank ( v1 ). Any tips on threading both coils into place without them shorting on one another? I can make single coil builds of them ok.

Are you placing a wick between the coils?

just make single coils, no need for dual coils That's what I'm thinking. Everyone seems to do single coils. There's gotta be a reason. I think you may have found it.

Must be a reason - lasts longer maybe people always think more of somthing is better, yes maybe in a dripper or a genesis atty dual coils could work better, in a tank or somthing similar then its pointless i think anyways

plus the fact if we're all rebuilding with 10p wire it's less money for the makers/vendors

Are you placing a wick between the coils? Actually no. There wasn't one in the originals. Makes perfect sense though.

For the same wattage setting, two coils are gonna work better and longer because each coil only has to burn at only half the wattage of a single coil set up. You`ve also got twice the wicking performance, so they can suck up twice as much juice. You can increase the wattage and it wont dry burn as quickly as it would with a single coil and wick setup. I think that is the reason why my iclear16 and iclear30s last for so long, at least a month and always at about 11 watts

Its very hard to duel coil a factory head. Something always ends up shorting out. I just single coil them and leave duel coils for the rba/rda where you are able to make them easy.
