personally, I wouldnt recommend using an Aerotank, after reading posts on it.

Hi guys got a hana dna30 in a trade kept it at 8 watts then attached aerotank to it with new coils. Didn't press any buttons. It started smoking now smells burnt. Not sure what version it is. It isn't reading volts and not producing vapour. Pretty gutted as only got it today. Is it beyond repair do you think?

Conal Louis Hendry Wayne Socrates Stones has a blue Cloupor body with a real evolv chip in.... That used to be mine... Same thing happened to me Jack B Watts.. I put the mega on it and before I'd even vaped it fried. Wayne made me a great offer for the body.. But then I used the mega on the newer versions with no problem.. But still I'm never putting a mega on a Cloupor again... Taifun all the way now.

I probably wouldn't use it on this anyway, just off to shove it on a nemi, eventually with a kick if I like it.

Mate at work has one and I'm impressed by it, very airy which I like and no burning at 15watts (did I say that already in this thread? the heat today is making my brain go funny!)

I'm going to avoid this combo anyhow, I'd cry if happened to me!

Just looked at the bottom of my aerotank airflow controller and it seems like its not spring loaded it seems like its in one piece with a grommet around it? Anywho thanks for the advice I might avoid using it with the Aeros just in case

Just looked through advert for IPV I'm getting and specs list on chip makers website and no mention of short circuit protection,  surely that's such a basic requirement?! Hope it has it.

Edit: then again says won't fire below 0.15ohms so that's basically the protection against shorts right?

I would think so, but you can't be absolutely sure unless you test it a lot.  EG they may have the logic in the chip to check the resistance once before it fires and the short occur due to something expanding with heat.  It sounds odd that one will fire then short so who knows what's up with that.

Aaarghhhh I'm now considering cancelling it and starting the hunt again. Time for some serious googling methinks.

edit: **UPDATE 6/4/14 @ 4:19AM EST: KANGER AEROTANK ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED! The kanger megas come with a pin that is pushed in very far. You need to remove the base of the aerotank and push the pin out a LITTLE more so that it can make contact with the cana mod. (This is From the Cana mod one )

And on the ksd spec list 

Circuit protection: short-circuit protection, voltage shortage protection, and reverse battery protection

Hopefully it it might have just been a duff one or two.

There seem to be a few different Magmas, some of the clones only have two sets of holes, but the one I have has three, so if you twist the ring round 90 degrees the single airhole operation comes into play
