Aaaargggghhh I`ll not be getting this one dalealan , just the one 30watter and that`s me sorted with all the wattage I need. Really happy with the box mod. It`s actually shorter than an MVP and shorter still when you consider it with an atty connected. Same weight as well with an 18650 in the dna box mod. Resist I say !!!!!!!!!!!

Small boxes over light sabres every time, tubes are great for mechs, but too long for VV/VW IMO.

Cheers for the advice robby and VapingBad I'm still waiting for a silver one to pop up but I'm close to biting the bullet on the black 'un. Any drawbacks with it yet robby?? No, not really, when the battery gets low it seems to stop regulating and just pass the battery voltage through (so a weak vape), but it`s all good, serves as a reminder to change it without stopping completely ..................................... well that`s my spin on it lol

At what sort of charge level does it stop regulating, IIRC davetherayon said his Cana did it at 60 % battery?

I think it is lower than 60%, when I put it on the charger (Nitecore) it was charging from one light flashing, much the same as anything else that has stopped working elsewhere in a vamo vtr etc. I`ll stick a meter on it next time it happens. It DOES happen at a level when it needs recharged. If I chose a more favourable setting where the battery voltage didn`t sag as much, it would fire fine for a while until it didn`t have the oomph to produce what it was set at.

The 60% figure I got off (of) the internets, but it does seem to be around there in my brief usage of the thing. Considering stumping up for a genuine Evolv DNA30 board and chopping up the innards of the FT mod, should be easy enough to replace (hah! with MY soldering "skills").

I wonder what they meant by 60%, it`s not voltage, maybe just the indicator on the DNA davetherayon ???

Here's one (possibly the thread I had read before) where the theorycrafting is, that once the mod can no longer give a full 3.7V it battery dumps.

That is so weird, I have an inline 510 battery voltage thingy www.fasttech.com/p/1704302 . Now I dont know how they do it, but if you check a mech mod battery with it, you will get 4.2V on it, fair enough. If you then put an atty on it, this checker gives you resistance and then voltage alternating. The strange thing is that you might get .8 ohms, but then when it reads the voltage, it still shows 4.2 volts which is impossible. When you press the fire button and keep it pressed it is sizzling all the way through the process. It`s got me flumoxed ??? Do the same thing with a multimeter and you get 4.2V with no atty and about 3.9V with an atty on and the button pressed, which is what you would expect. I just cant work out how the 510 checker can do that, my head hurts It sounds very like the experience of the poster on that thread if I have read it right.

Right finally pulled the trigger. It was either this or an mvp so I hope I've made the right choice. I'm also ordering some sony vtc5s to go with it. I'll grab a nitecore d4 later. Bit of overkill for my protanks and aerotanks but it should be spot on for when I step up a bit

Hehe robby I have that same inline volts tester, and it won't work on the Modz (cana or ft), even with a 510 adapter on it, works perfectly well on other devices. It must be a Friday FastTech

That`s been the biggest difference I have seen with my DNA30.
