VTC5's are overkill though.  I bought a pair of VTC4's and VTC5's when I got my DNA30, but there was no need for the DNA device.  You can't go above 10A anyway due to the limitations of the circuit, so I now just use my CGR's in mine, and leave the VTC's for the mechs.

As for drippers, I got a FT Igo W and the posts didn't have holes drilled, so were a right pain to coil.  So I got a genuine one, and I love it.  I also got the PMMA top cap from FT for it, and it has MUCH bigger holes on it, which is excellent for lung hits.  I've bee putting in 0.5 - 0.9 ohm builds in and blasting the DNA at 30w.  Lovely.

The Evolv spec has max input current of 12 A not 10 A, but who knows with a clone.  In my DNA30 I used to use both CGRs (10 A) & VTC4s (30 A) and it rejects the CGRs as a higher voltage that the CGRs (about 200 mV in the low 20s w).  Now I'm vaping at a bit higher wattage I only use the VTCs.

Aye, fair enough on the spec sheet.

In real life though, the DNA won't fire a coil less than 0.5 Ohm.  And maxes out at 30 watts.  So the max current is 7.75A.  So a decent safety margin in there.  Obviously the VTC's will handle it better, and if you have them, they are probably the way to go, but I have so many other mods anyway.

Thats the new service they are testing, rumour has it it will spend a couple of weeks on a boat just getting to philipines... but admin did say that wasn't the case

If anyone's in the market for a Chinese VW mod then you're far better looking at ones with an SX chip in them - they are great quality and do what they say on the tin.

I was just pointing out that it isn't being marketed as a DNA clone, and that the SX chips get far better reviews than the DNA style clones anyway so they would be a better choice for just a bit more money.

Depends on how many watts you need. If you're not going to be using any more than 20w then a Sigelei 20w (about £50 @ FT) has an SX chip. Mods with the SX350 go to 50w watts but then you're looking around double of the originally posted mod so unfair to compare.

The sx330 50watt mod I've just ordered was £69.99... that's about the cheapest you can get anything with a sx chip in at the moment, doubt it will get much cheaper than that. Though note the sx330 chip might not be as good as the sx350 chip.

Edit: barring the chip in the sigelei as posted, but think that's non upgradeable version stuck at 20watt

True, but I'd like to guess the majority of people won't go over 20w no matter what their limit is.

Cheers xrayspecs and boyofford think I'll jut stick with this one for now as it's cheap enough and I do like the box mod look as it'll be used for work so it's easily hidden definitely don't need 50 watts as I'll be using it with protanks and aerotanks at first until my dripper arrives. 30 watts is more than enough overkill for now lol
