Now you are off the stinkies invest in a posh water bottle And don't worry. Just drink more and chill and be near a toilet (cos you'll pee more LOL).... If you feel able to mix your own do that in 10-15ml amounts till you find your right nic level Hope that helps

I used to vape 18mg That had a 80/20 pg/vg but when I tried dripping it was way to harsh on my throat. ATM I use a 50/50 mix of 12mg which is better when using a dripper but I can use in my clearo's without it seeming to weak. 1xPallmall blue has .6mg of nic so a packet of 20 has 12mg and a bottle of 12mg has 12mg per ml. So why do we vape much more nic than when we smoked? Smoke particles are much smaller than vapour particles, and are absorbed in the lungs much easier than the larger vapour particles. More vapour absorption takes place im the mouth than in the lungs. Its these reasons that more nic is needed when vaping to get the same nic into the body as smoking. The 0.6 mg in each pall mall is what the makers tell you you will absorb into the blood stream.
Each actual ciggie has approx. 9mg of nicotine so a pack of 20 = 180mg of actual nicotine.
The amount you absorb is much less.
With vaping you may be on 12mg per ml so if you vape 5ml that is 60mg just a third of smoking 20 a day but not all of that is absorbed either.

Hi TwistyCan I first say I am not a doctor saying you are in the same boat as me. I saw this and the exact same thing happened to me so I thought I'd just share. Please bear in mind I quit nicotine 6 months ago and stopped vaping no nicotine 2 weeks later, so what I'm sharing happened during and after using nicotine. Quitters Flu: My doctor explained that quitters flu can be down to the lack of both harmane and norharmane which are relased in the tobacco smoke. They act as an anti depressant so for some, like me, they are self medicating without even knowing. He explained that the cold turkey from tobacco smoke (take nicotine out of the mix at this point) is the same for some people going cold turkey from anti depressants, hemce the dreadful flu symptoms feelings. I don't know if you feel really different?, low mood and fatigue? If so have a chat with the doctor. It doesn't mean you need meds (I was offered low dose) as I've managed to get round it with the help of a book The Chimp Paradox by Steve Peters. The Racing Heart: The same happened to me during and after stopping vaping so I knew it couldn't be the nicotine so finally accepted something was amiss and got help. Have you had your blood pressure and heart rate tested recently? If so was it low? Mine was low on a check up in October but it was a different doctor who just said "oh it's very low, but you're ok aren't you?" Turns out that smok7ng was artificially increasing my blood pressure and heart rate to normal.... without it, well.... dreadful to be honest. He explained my heart palpitations are due to that, it's called bradycardia. Am having to be checked each month and if I get any worse off to the heart specialist. It's no different now to when I was vaping but am mentality better as I understand what's been going on for the last 10 months. So..... it could be nicotine that's causing it for you, who knows? Or you could have a similar bio chemistry to me and maybe need to have a chat with the doctor. I'm sorry this is so long but when I saw this post it sounded very simular to my experience. Let us know how you get on.

i gave up 3 months ago and vape anywhere between 12-24mg still 24 when i feel i need that extra hit, but most of the time now it's 12 i'm not ready to go lower than that, and think i will stick at 12 for the time being as it's suits me most of the time, but as mentioned i still need that extra kick so still buy 18-24 very little 24 these days but odd pain day and i need the extra hit to get through,

siffy - I had the same palpitations after giving up smoking, and it turned out that I had HIGH Blood Pressure, and am now on medication for it. One nurse asked about smoking and I said I had given up tobacco and was vaping, and she said it often happens that all the nasties in tobacco smoke evens out conditions which makes them much harder to diagnose; me vaping was good because it brought these symptoms to the surface and everything's now fine. I would agree with the posts above ^^^ about drinking more water, and upping the nic levels until you are comfortable. At the end of the day though, vaping is much safer than tobacco for you, so don't fret unduly about the amount of juice you go through, it's much less harmful than tobacco smoke!

It just shows what tobacco smoke is masking, doesn't it? I'm glad I started vaping too, got me off the cigs and highlighted issues that needed dealing with, best thing I've ever done. I'm glad that you're fine now and as you say it could be due to high BP, always best to get checked out Twisty and not stupidly wait 10 months like I did, the fool that I am. I forgot to mention the water, yes lots! Even with my low end BP and pots syndrome that's the one thing I've changed and it has helped lots.

You may well find that by upping your nic level you will vape less , hence the added bonus of saving battery life and using less juice .

Thank you all so much , Im so glad I have you lovely people to rely on for advice because I was really judging myself a bit since I started using more e-juice. I think I should be easy on myself , after all Im off the stinkies so whatever it takes ... I'm on 70PG/30VG juice so maybe I should look to get me some 50/50 ones. 12mg is probably the way to go , 16mg was far too harsh on my throat. I really enjoy vaping at 8mg but Im doing it constantly and partner and friends also made a comment about it , which does make me a bit self-conscious about how much Im using it. I have had tests done a few months ago and had my blood pressure and heart rate checked and it was in the normal limits , and I was a smoker then. Water - yes! Guilty ... Im not much of a water drinker - I have tried making a conscious effort with it since I started vaping because it really makes a difference. Its still hard for me to drink 1.5-2 L. a day but the frequent headaches are a reminder that I just NEED to. Thank you very very much for your help!!!

My thoughts. You can never vape to much. That is all. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

I wasn't big water drinker either Twisty.I would drink few coffees in the morning and then a bit water after a meal when I was smoking.Since I start vaping and exercise I download an app for my phone(drink water reminder),set up to remind me every hour.So when I hear *ding* I fill up my glass and I know I have an hour to drink it.Is really hard if you used to not drink much. You can just set up your alarm and just right down how much you drink for a start. Hope this helps

Also if you like a pint, while it has lots of water in it, ale also dehydrates you (one of the reasons it's so nice to have another!).
