Butterflies...

[Raffles]

Have been sat outside most of the day, enjoying a glass or two, as you do... and couldn't believe how many butterflies there were, mainly Red Admirals. They are gorgeous, even found one asleep in the bathroom this morning.There were dozens all around the buddleia especially, as you'd expect.

Tried to take a pic with my phone, but as soon as I got close enough they buggered off, so I gave up in order that they would come back, which they did.

there are a lot of butterflies around at the moment, and caterpillars which are munching their way through the leaves of the veg my hubbie has planted.

I had a butterfly fly in though the kitchen door took a few tours around the living room and then flew out again.

 Lots of butterflies here...but My God!!! the frogs are in their dozens...even hopping into the house, & sitting still saying " you can't see me "...but they are so cute, & easily picked up & placed beside my wee burn.

I love them, we have got a lot here too, I would say red admirals, but there are so many species that look like them maybe not.
I have guided many out of the window last week back to outside safety.

If you want butterflies plant a buddlei - cant spell it bush.
Lovely plant and attracts them.

Aint seen no butterflies yet but oh my i have seen them wretched flying ant thingies

We have Buddleia too Raffles and they do attract some beautiful creatures, counted roughly 40 butterflies in a few minutes in last weeks gorgeous weather.
