Lol, Chrissie & Scylla, i wont forget that one in a hurry T'was a dark and stormy night.... No really, i was on nightshift, wearing my contact lenses as usual, around 3 in the morning my eyes started to feel all gritty & sore, so i pulled my bottle of drops out of my pocket and stuck a couple of drops in - instant agony!!!! I'd only gone and used eliquid instead of my drops I tried to get my lens out and couldn't, the pain was incredible, i cupped cold water in my hands and splashed it in my eye, i shouted to one of the other nurses and she shoved a bedpan under my chin and cut a hole in a bag of saline and poured it into my eye while en route to a&e downstairs.... I was there for more than 2 hours, they put a plastic lens thing attached to a huge bag of saline, and i'd to sit there, with the water running down my front, into my knickers They were getting concerned as the PH of my eye was still way more acidic than it should have been, even after an hour of flushing, they said it'd been worse on account of the eliquid getting trapped between the lens and my eye.... I'd an appointment at the eye clinic the next day, but thankfully, all was well....phew!!! Defo not recommended, lol, i still check & double check when using lubricating drops Now that is hardcore haha and surely deserves the trophy ouch!

Perhaps Lilac would like to see the lower half of your photo Stitch, it could help her pain.

I almost used my eliquid instead of eye drops and since then have kept the eye drops firmly in the box they came in so that I can tell the difference. I keep both beside my bed and use the eye drops sometimes during the night - they don't vape very well either. Glad everything's OK now Lilac! Fox

Was really embarrassing :-[ A&E staff had never heard of eliquid, the poisons unit they called had never heard of it either....it was a bottle of Cloud9 RY4, so fortunately had the ingredients listed.... I'm convinced they thought i'd been self harming the Doc asked 'why did you put this into your eye?' i was like 'em...HELLO!! i didnt do it on purpose....it's the same size bottle as my eye drops' then....'was it just the one eye you put it in?' Me.....'yes, believe me, the one eye was quite enough!!' I didn't half feel stoopid and had to finish out my shift in a pair of hospital PJ's as the room where the scrubs are kept, was locked n no-one knew who had a key
