It's official, we have a challenger!

PinkyPuff managed to trash a MVP2 and a vamo v5 in under a fortnight.  MVP sorted, but vamo still goosed.

Hope the PC aint next on her hitlist.

Both Robby and Striker were after a goosed MPV2, you might get salvage value.

Managed to sort the mvp, but still got intermittent vamo issues. Resistance is jumping and check atty appearing from time to time. Got a work around atm though. Centre pins are not safe around PinkyPuff.


Now my dinners in the dog and the dogs in the microwave......

ok, time to admit defeat. Had top cap of the vamo, still cant see any issues. Electrical connections seem ok, but still getting inconsistent resistance readings and sometimes check atomiser message. I surrender!! Now got 1.2 ohm coil reading 1.9 ohms, better than it was but still aaarrgh!

FT do the V5 board for £7, StealthVape do the V3 board for £20.

It could be the board, but I've still got my suspicions its down to some problem with the centre pin as adjusting the bottom pin on kanger coils can reduce or eliminate the problem. Could be wrong though. Does master repair guru ronaldo have any suggestions?

Now you have it open you can push the pin up, clean all the surfaces and check the connection, you could replace the 510 wires it's conceivable they could be causing an intermittent prob. Could it be the atty, you could go to Maplin and buy a 1% resistor and clip it to the 510 wires (don't fire, I know you realise that, but anyone could read this) to check the resistance reading.

I remember ronaldo mentioning that the boards can short themselves out if they get eliquid on them.

Just thinking out loud, never had a Vamo or taken one apart.

If you still have your top cap off, check that the black wire connected to the top cap metal feels secure. Underneath that blob of solder is a screw. It looks as if it is just soldered directly to the metal, but it isn`t. There is a tiny screw there. It may need tightened , there were many instances of them coming slightly loose and giving a poor electrical connection. Try tightening it with pliers, but only slightly. It shouldn`t need much
