Hi all,
I've already got an MVP v2 and love it. I need (want) another box-type mod and considering a VTR. I'm also looking at some clearos e.g. Aspire nautilus mini, Aerotank v2, mow to go with whatever I get (another MVP or vtr). I've got 18650 batteries and a charger for a vamo already. As I said I have an MVP and my head says get one of these, but my heart wants a vtr lol. Choices, choices. Help.

I've a MVP V1 and think it's great . . . flirted with the notion of getting a VTR as they are very popular, but never made the commitment. Bought one of these and am enjoying using it. www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=227Even though I'm unlikely to unleash anything like 50watts.

Vtr with aerotank, have got 2 running all day every day. Heavy, yes, but you get used to that. Battery longevity superb, cannot praise them enough, they just seem to work all the time every time.

I have to admit the VTR is a great device, I have drilled mine out to take a nature vape midi tank which I beleive is 19mm? Might be 20? But it just works and with an 18650 I could go away for a week with 3 batts and it would last.

But it just works and with an 18650 I could go away for a week with 3 batts and it would last. Must be 20mm because the VTR gap is 19mm so wouldn't need to be drilled out to take it (that said a mini nautilus is 19mm but apparently the airflow ring stops it from fitting in the VTR as is protrudes just a smidge). To the OP I must admit the MVP put me off box mods for a long time (really didn't get on with mine at all, heavy ugly sharp cornered thing with a bloody uncomfortable fire button) but I've been won back around recently and I've always had a soft spot for the look of the VTR - has a certain something to it and a bit of bulk is quite nice in a housebound mod (I do love my Vamo in 18650 for sofa vaping). The fact it wouldn't take all my attys due to the size of the gap is an irritation that would put me off paying serious (ie new pricing, or even FT pricing for one) but I have mulled over a couple in the classies recently. So yeah go with the heart - heads are over rated

I love my MVP v2 never had a vtr as limit to what tanks you can use. If your after a box mod what about one of the DNA mods? I have been eyeing up one for the future after I get myself a nice pipe mod that is hehe.

Someone the other day had a google doc on what tanks fit on the vtr I've gotten a few. I love my davide mega from p-vapers but I'm just playing with the taifun gs clone (hcigar) Yeah when I was on holiday Craig at coffee and vape in douglas said it hardcore folk preferred the MVP 2 to the VTR cos of the weight. But seriously you soon get used to the weight and the VTR has lasted me 3 months so far. I was the original MVP destroyer LOL

I have to agree, the VTR is a belter. Pair it with an Aerotank and you can't go wrong. But there are always alternatives. Hana Modz DNA30 (and clones) is the top ranking vape in my house atm

I've got MVP for out and about, Vamo indoors, liked the look of a VTR but was lucky enough to get hold of one at a vapemeet, was shocked, when I got the MVP thought it was heavy, but the VTR so much more so, that put me off. I still think the MVP too heavy, but when you consider its battery life and no need for spare batteries or a charger, just a mini usb lead, it's much more practical for outdoors (i've used the reverse charge function once to keep GF's iphone alive).
My MVP will be replaced soon............with another MVP

I have both of these and to my surprise ( someone else mentioned this on one of my threads, but I can't remember who it was ) the VTR seems to taste slightly better at the same volts or watts. The other person that mentioned this said theirs tasted slightly metallic , I didn't get that, but the taste is slightly better. As far as battery life is concerned , yes the MVP does last longer than an 18650 battery , but if you haven't got another mod to use, especially when your out and the MVP starts to lose battery power ( e.g when it goes to orange ) you need to charge it and the supplied lead for charging it via a PC is way to short for you to use it as a pass through , as the lead is only 500mm from end to end. With the VTR you can just swap the battery in a matter of a few seconds and your off again.
One of the things that made me decide to get the VTR was the design , as it has a side loading tank, which is darn near impossible to snap the tank off as opposed to tube mods and other general box mods , unless you go up way up in price for a mech mod like a Kato or a Helix.Unlike the Kato and the Helix you can turn the volts/watts up or down depending on how you feel , exactly like the MVP.
