Hi again, got a question My tasters arrived yesterday from Loosjuice and I wondered what to do about steeping, I was suprised to see that they are all reletively clear. I have looked at various youtube contributions and I am confused. Some say just put in dark for a week or two, some say open bottle others say keep closed, stand in warm water, microwave, shake for 30mins???? ???
I always get good advise from here, look forward to seeing it
Thanks

All i do for a quick steep is take lid off and place in a draw and shake once a day. For a longer steep i just leave the lids on and just chuck in a draw and forget for a week or so.
Sent from me from some far away land.

Joose Juice are made fresh when you order, so will be best after 2 weeks... just stick them in a cupboard and try to resist temptation!

I just stuck mine in the cupboard under the stairs for a couple of weeks and gave them a shake up once per day. I did notice that the banana flavour started off quite clear at first but was a reassuring shade of yellow by the time I was ready to vape it, plus the cupboard reeked of banana even though the lid was screwed on tight and the juice was in a plastic ziploc bag. Powerful stuff.....

Opened the jiffy bag last night all I could smell was banans
Took lids off - squeezed air out a couple of times - gave then all a good shake and put them back in the jiffy bag in a dark place.
I am off on Holiday week on Friday, I think I will be tempted to take a couple with me.
Does anyone know of a vaping shop in St Ives Cornwall? I will have a google

bobmcdee I don't think there is an e-cig shop in St. Ives - Liberty Flights in St. Earth would be your nearest. However, zeldamum (as mentioned by Perpetua) has better stock & more knowledge. The shop is in Beacon, Camborne, so not too far from St. Ives. Any chance you could make it to the next Cornwall meet up bobmcdee -http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/43631/cornwall-south-west-meet-august

bobmcdee - Helen zeldamum's shop is indeed in Beacon, a small village to the south of Camborne. Find the railway station in the town, at which there is a level crossing. Cross this and head out of town up the long hill. At the top you will encounter a traffic calming; proceed through this and you will pass the fish and chip shop and then a Spar-type shop on your right in a terrace of houses. Next, the Beacon Arms pub on the right. The pub is just before a crossroads, and the road on the left opens out into a sort of square, and you may be able to park here. Helen's shop is on the right hand side on the far side of the right turn; look for the Tutu shop, subtitled Beacon Vape. Simples!! What is it exactly that you are looking for, or are you just browsing for shinies? If it's an emergency and Helen doesn't have what you need in stock, let me know, I may be able to help you out

Steeping=planning. Buy juice a month before you need them and you are sorted. This is where mass produced juice such as Dekang comes in handy. Find your vapes, stock up on the mass produced stuff and vape your good juices 3-4 weeks later. Plan it out and always stay 30ml or so ahead of the game and steeping becomes irrelevant.
It's hard while you find your vape, or make your own, but once yo settle on a range of flavours, bought or self made, you can just plan ahead and buy/mix a few weeks before you need.
As for steeping, I normally remove cap and squeeze air out every 2-3days, give a good shake and leave in a cool dark place. Every juice has a different time requirement to steep properly so there are no rules set in stone.

I mix about 6 weeks in advance, and my OH, who has just started vaping about 6 weeks ago, was until recently aghast at the amount of bottles in my juice box. Now she understands a bit more about the process, I can get away with a bit more blue GBH (not quite murder, but getting there!).

Liberty Flights in St. Earth would be your nearest. Wheres that then ?...lol....I have a friend that grew up & used to live in st erth & she'd be mortified to know youve spelt it like that..lol.......( I used to live in Cornwall too & am planning a vist to meet up with old friends, I wonder if i could time it with one of your meets ;-) ) Thanks for asking this question bobmcdee I was tempted to ask something similar & now have some of the answers I wanted The only other thing I wanted to ask was about leaving the lids off, I read somewhere that VG absorbs water ? I dont leave the lids off mine I just squeeze the air out every now & then & then give a good shake.......But Ive noticed that with some of them the consistency isnt as thick as when its first made...does that mean its absorbing water? or just the juice changing because other fluids have been added ? Ive noticed the colour changing too, the pineapple one is quite clear to start with & after a week its nice & yellow :-) Ive been using this as an indication to judge when they could be ready (its like waiting for fruits to ripen..lol) but still wonder if im using them to early?...Im guessing theres not really any set time period & its a case of trial & error

If and it's a big if, I remember then they get an occasional shake. But mostly I forget/CBA'd to do that. Colour changing is normal and a sign to me that the ingredients are blending together, the speed and to what extent it changes also depends on nicotine levels/flavouring used I find. Fruits/mints take the shortest time to mature . . . 1-2 weeks is more than enough for me. Some just mixed Custard brews: And some very well steeped ones!
