THE AAEC GREAT CUSTARD TEST RESULTS

These are the notes as per tester :-

No punches pulled !!

geordie_vaper mate thank you for taking the time to test these

All custards tested in seperate kayfuns 1.2 ohm single coil cotton.

custard G; weak basically no taste at all, exhale slightest after taste of a sweet cream and thats it, creamy claggy feel in the mouth after vaping this, but very subtle and smooth, no flavour throat hit i expect with a custard, i cant taste custard at all. summary, a bit bland

custard Q; very subtle again but more flavour then custard G, slight creamyness with a hint of vanilla, i can taste somthing extra in this one cant put my finger on it, after vaping this the somthing extra isnt a pleasent flavour,still no real custrad slap in the face i expect with this kind of e liquid, a nice throat hit though, summary hmm ok could be better

custard F; best vapor production out of the bunch, very very smooth and creamy, authentic vanilla flavour very nice indeed, but no real throat hit, wich to me makes this juice a no go, summary: mmmm vanilla

custard R: got a perfumey taste to start with off this liquid but died down quick, maybe it was the cotton but didnt notice it with any other liquids tested, lovely and sweet, very creamy,and then the vanilla wich is lovely its not really a autentic vanilla flavour, but its really nice i like custards to have a strong vanilla flavour so this is really nice for me, and great throat hit summary: vanilla overdose

custard E; at last i get some flavour throat hit, very sweet custardy flavour and nice vanilla taste aswell, very smooth but still get that thud on your throat i cant think of much more to say a about this one, summary: ticking all the boxes.

so this is it, this is the difficult bit some are deffinatly better then others, but non blew me away i have come to the conclusion that over steeped juice loose its flavour for me at least, but here are my results ........

5th place .......G bland and plain vanilla flavour thats it. Triphammer Devon Custard ( 'good' eliquid)

4th place......Q just to subtle for a vaper like me. Mrs B Vanilla custard ( 'lower end ' eliquid)

3rd place...... F very nice juice indeed. Nicoticket Custards last stand (high end premium juice)

2nd place ......E this to me was lovely and a great custard. Perpetuas DIY.

so that leaves R as my winner for me it is what a custard should be full of vanilla creamy and a nice throat hit, these results are just my opinion and everyone is diffrent and like diffrent things . Aaron's DIY.

Sorry guys but after these results I'm off to start my custard buisness, "arrons creamy goodness"....

please don't get too excited,its a simple recipe and I must thank Perpetua for a great staring point

CCW Custard 20%
PA French van deluxe 4%
PA sweetener 1% (I may have gone 1.5-2%)
60/40 pg/vg

Simples

To give you an idea of steeping times, the batch that was tested was made 24/04/14 but i normally just wait 4 weeks.

A very suprise result, would be interesting to see what other people think.
One thing to note is I mix at 6-8mg so I don't know how CCW Custard will hold up against a high nic content

Thanks for posting this... got all the ingredients, but so far didn't have a clue what to do with them... will be mixing this up tonight. Can't wait!


EDIT: and I can vouch for geordie_vaper 's taste in vanilla custard, he sent me some that he made, and it was AWESOME!

Exactly perpetua , nicotickets CLS is known to be one of the best , I've read the reviews on the triphammer one and again they were all very positive .

Now my next question Perpetua arron , you guys any good at DIY tobbaco ? lol
