So finally got it all sanded and polished and reassembled. Took bloody ages to sand down had to get through the chrome plating then the copper layer. Ronaldo What a great guy was a great help as when disassembled the Vamo i broke the wires to the board and i sent it to him and he solved the problem big thanks to him. Here it is Finished.

Well done to you & Ronaldo, looks good.
Remember Robby doing something similar to this a while back.

Yeh great guy really helpful. Took soooo long to sand down i think they put copper over the brass to make thr chrome plating better.

Too much effort for me i'm afraid, i buy mostly brushed kit because i'm lazy & if i can only get polished & it's practical i'll brush it myself. Shiny does look nice but it's not long before it needs buffing up again & again & again.....

Once you've gotthe finish you like why not lacquer it to seal it?

I use it on the copper/ bronze chainmaille I make to keep it nice n shiny. Build it up in thin layers apply leave to dry buff to shine then apply next layer. Aim for 5/6 layers minimum
