Cos you end up doing yourself an injury LOL

Figured mine had it's bearings gone on thursday. Promply order a new one from argos. (well by the time the order went through it was friday). Getting delivered on wednesday but they said I have to disconnect the old machine

So I phoned the landlord to find out where the stop cock is - last time I did this I had niagara and that was 14 years ago! - found it .

Attempt the disconnection today. First time nothing would come off. Youtube and a tea towel are my friends (the wrench did nothing!!!)

30 mins later and it's disconnected and all the tubes and wires on the top of the machine. Now I have a sore back LOL

That is why women shouldn't play with washing machines LOL or shift sofas or sideboard etc tee hee

I've missed singing today cos of this

prr I didn't break it....it just had enough...

It was 10 years old when I got it and I have had it for 4 years . It's a fossilised Bosch Excel. I have ordered a new Bosch of course

Last time ours packed up it went band in style, smoke pouring out top water piddling out the hole where the door used to be. Thank god we were in when it did it.

@johanino, Whilst it is disconnected, why not fit these to the pipe work? It saves all the hassle of messing about with stopcocks in future.
Just a thought to make the removal in future of any machines, given your penchant for destroying mechanical devices.
