We should not forget the ridiculous claims made in the past by WHO officials, claiming that tobacco cigarettes are less harmful than e-cigarettes because they have a filter.

WHO do they think they are fooling? Any reasoning human will laugh at all they say, and cry at all they do. How can an organisation such as this basically promote smoking, and abandon people to Ebola? To paraphrase ugly kid joe " I,I,I hate everything about WHO!!!"

Just visited my local hospital where there are numerous patients having a ciggie outside the main entrance hooked up to drips etc whilst ecigs are banned on site!!

All of those tweets I read in one article yesterday, but cannot remember which one it was. Whether it was in one of the newspaper articles or on the WHO report itself, I read too many articles yesterday.

Still, it is appalling that they should use social networking tweets to get their unscientific messages across to the general public. Talk about scare-mongering from what is supposed to be a reputable world health organisation.

I totally agree. We seem to go 1 or 2 steps forward and 10 back due to organisations such as the WHO

I am dreading all the future comments over the next few days - think I'll just stay indoors with my e-cig and put me feet up till it all dies down again.

I don't think many people will take much notice of the WHO report...... Things like this come out all the time, and after a few days are consigned to the rubbish where most of them belong. Tweeting rubbish to support misinformed claims is pathetic, and will be seen as such by anyone who is in a position to make any rules or regulations I think. Perhaps it's time to unite as a group of people from every vaping forum and on every vendors web site, on twitter and FB to refute these stupid and damaging claims? Isn't there a world vaping day in September? Yup, found the web site, Here perhaps that week could be a 'bombard the media with facts about vaping' week?
There are enough vapers in the UK and worldwide now to maybe make their voices heard?

it dusnt matter if we prove e cigs are safe and there amazing, the goverment and the powers that be will ban or make it impossible for us to carry on vaping no matter what good research is done on, even if we reached the 1 million sign ups on the evfi thing that wont stop goverments doing whatever they want to do.


i think we should enjoy vaping now before it becomes more and more difficult to do. but lets be happy

Personally . . . I think there's been an ' agenda ' from the word go virtually, to demonize and discredit ecigs.

Those of us already in the vaping ' loop ' know differently and will continue with our hobby/habit - it's potential new vapers that will be denied/deterred from giving them a go.

Which is criminal, when there is a safer alternative to killing yourself smoking.

I don't mind comments whether positive or negative. I'm armed with a few phrases. I usually just say to people it's propaganda by the government aiming long term to milk us for taxes. That a million people in the UK are vaping multiply that by an average of 20 cigs a day then by 365 days in the year, do the maths the government are losing out on a cash cow. I tell them I make my own liquids with a few simple legal ingredients I tell them I know exactly what is in it and i don't put 100's of other chemicals that are found in cigarettes into my eliquids, I can't buy such things as cyanide which the reaction in cigarettes produces. I also tell people the global pharmaceutical companies are corrupt and they want a piece of the action. I say the last thing they want is a reduction in cancer patients because they make billions a year from medication (harsh but peoples faces when you say that). I tell them I have not felt this fit and well since I was in my teens. That I can smell things I can taste things and that the vapour I produce dissipates much quicker than the proven harmful cigarette smoke that I have to put up with outside pubs or bus stops. I ask have they approached anybody regards that.

Failing that and depending on my mood, I can just say your boring mate f*^$ off while your brain can still send the signal to your legs..... That works too.
