I can understand the .25 .28 as being thickness.

But for a complete noob at recoiling im lost at the above question lol

Kanthal nichrome has nickel and chromium in it. Vapers tend to avoid it because chromium is not good for your health. I don't know the complete in's and outs', but it has to do with the heating of it and chromium being released in some form.

Im guessing that this has chromium in it from the FeCrAl description (iron, chromium, aluminium)

.25 and .28 sounds like its in mm as that is difference from 30 AWG to 29 AWG

I thought it was the nickel in nichrome that folk were wary of?

Kanthal contains chromium (along with aluminium and iron.)

Not sure about the percentages, but I think its the same metals in it.
(That's not to say it doesn't have extra Chinese stuff in it!)
