i clean my atty threads and atty end of the sd once a day and the sd main threads once a week. ive got some black attys and ive noticed that the screw end is a bit wet on the outside when i take out the atty, ive cleaned down the side of the sd threads on the atty end and its now clean and dry. how do i clean from the inside of the sd (atty piece) under the rubber washer. raggy........

I'm not that good at cleaning my devices, bar a quick wipe with a tissue or an occasional scrape out with a toothpick, but what about trying an old fashioned pipe cleaner?

You'd think the rubber washer would just roll off and back on again but it's really tight - except sometimes when I'm screwing my 2 SD halves together and I get a loop poking out and have to start again. What do you use to clean your threads, Raggy? Chrissie told me about some special stuff but it was £10 and that seemed OTT. (Not that it was Chrissie's fault that it was £10 ) scylla
