Hello to everyone here at this awesome e-cigarette forum. I live in Grimsby, Ontario Canada. I am 43 years old and I have been happily married to my beautiful wife for 8 wonderful years. I was a fairly heavy smoker for 30 years. I smoked about 1.5 packs a day. I started experimenting with smoking when I was 12 years old. I started smoking on a regular basis when I was 14. I quit smoking 2 years ago after my dad died from cancer due to smoking. I have tried every quit smoking gimmicks out there and none of them worked. The only thing that worked was e-cigarettes. Hell my doctor gave me her blessing to keep using e-cigarettes.
I do have a question for the people of this wonderful e-cigarette forum. I am currently using the Kanger Protank Mini 3 with 1.5 ohm coils. I need to buy more coils, can I use 1.2 ohm coils or should I stick with the 1.5 ohm coils? Another question I have is that I find that the draw for the Kanger Protank Mini 3 a little tight. I was thinking of buying the Kanger Airflow Control Valve that is available for the Kanger Protank Mini 3. Do you think that the Airflow Control Valve would make a difference or should I not buy it?

Hi and snaggletooth75 to the best vaping forum in the world (probably) Can't give you a definitive answer on coil ohms I'm afraid, but I do have an airflow controller for my protank 2 and it makes a huge difference so I'd imagine it'd be the same for the mini PT. Others wiser and more knowledgeable will be along shortly to answer your questions properly, but for now, hello, welcome and enjoy the chat

Welcome aboard snaggletooth75. 1.5 or 1.2? Depends on the mod you're using. If it's VW/VV then you probably won't notice much difference. Maybe a little more warmth with the 1.2. If on a mech mod then stick with the 1.5, the 1.2 may just burn your juice. And the AFC would be a good upgrade for your mini protank, will make a massive difference

Hi snaggletooth75 welcome to the forum +1 for what Ripshod says, Usually with a 15w mod a higher Ohm coil of about 1.8 would give the best range of adjustment, and on a mech it probably wont wick juice quick enough to keep up, so you would get a burnt taste.

Alright snaggletooth75 i cant offer direct advice on this one, but Ripshod advice is sound, when i used a mini protank 2 on a spinner i found that i needed 1.8ohm or higher as below that i couldnt go above 3.8 volts as the juice just fryed as it couldn't wick quick enough?

Welcome to AAEC, some vv/vw devices won't fire on 1.2 ohms. I mainly use vtr's with homemade microcoils at about 1.8 ohms at 9 watts with homemade liquid at 50/50 vg pg 15mg. Good flavour and vapour with this setup. Great to hear this forum's reputation has spread to Canada. I also use Kanger aerotanks with airflow control

Greetings and to AAEC snaggletooth75 Well it makes a change for me to be able to greet somebody from my homeland, Born in Georgetown Ontario.. As to your choice of coils, 1.2 sounds a little low, 1.8 would be the ideal as has been mentioned and yes do get the AFC. It makes a world of difference.
