Live and let live. I used to smoke, I stank. Others do, that's their prerogative. I think smokers get a shoddy deal from others on the whole

It's hard to believe we all smelt that bad of burnt tobacco. The longer you vape the worst it smells too. I wonder if never smokers have the same sensitivity to it.

Never smokers smell what ex smokers smell......according to my OH, although I'm more likely to spot cig smoke smell outside than he is, but I could always smell cig smoke when I smoked, just didn't notice it so much on me! But that was one of my main drivers to vaping, got so I couldn't stand the smell, nor the taste. But I'm still of the live and let variety, and I'm happy to be amongst smokers, even though I might not like the smell.

I still quite like the smell of a lit cigarette burning - or at least it doesn't bother me
However the smell of stale smoke - in a room, on clothes, from someone, being in the proximity of an ash tray has gone from not really bothering me to being repugnant - this happened within a few months of vaping (and not probably coincidentally regaining me full sense of smell and taste).
I simply can't believe I used to smell like that - but I did *shudder*

Stopped smoking now for nearly a year after 37 years and its amazing how you can smell smoke on other people that smoke even at some distance also in traffic you can whiff it from other cars with smokers in. But it doesn't bother me one bit been in the company of other smokers..i just hate to see / think what damage they are doing to themselves and think what damage we ex smokers have done to ourselves too. I do try and encourage the younger generation to switch to vapping but most are like what we used to be like and think they can stop at anytime and bad things only happen to other people ummm how many of us used to think that.
We are only here once live and let live.

Since I gave up I can smell cig smoke like a bloodhound lol. People smoking doesn't bother me that much - stale cig smoke however Corners where people smoke and dump their cig butts, smoke shelters etc. all smell like month old ashtrays. When I still smoked, my pals wife would often say of her daughter, she smells of ashtrays ! Naturally I would ask, "Do I smell that bad as well ?" "No, strangely enough, you don't" Now, whether it was because her daughter smoked the cheapest cigs she could get or cause I smoked roll ups, I couldn't say, but I asked a few people and the answer was always the same. ???? I should say that my pals wife is as straight talking as you can get, and believe me, if I had stunk, she would have told me
