For years and years hubby would say that film of muck that appeared on the inside of the windscreen was because I would smoke in the car (I have no children and the windows were down) Since I took up vapeing I tell him he can't complain cos I'm not smoking anymore but now he's decided that the film of grease that's built up on the inside of the windscreen is due to my vapeing and the glycerine. I keep telling him the 2 times a week I'm in the car can't be having that effect and he should clean the car more often and it must be something he is doing so he should try not breathing and see if that helps Who's right ? Is it my vapeing thats causeing the problem or should hubby stop breathing ? lol

Option number 2 for me too - i also have that film buildup on the inside of the windscreen which i believe is because the inside of the car is slightly damp - from wet shoes etc - when the sun does come out to play the inside of the car mists up

The inside of the windscreen will build up naturally with a greasy film from a persons body heat.
I sit at my computer for a large part of the day and my screen is not greasy.

The build up on the inside on the glass(if you don't smoke) is from the plastersizing of the chemicals from the interior dashboard and and as grizwald said bodyh heat, vent system all do it. i dont smoke in my car or vape yet still get it

I gave up smoking analogues for 8 years before starting again 5 years ago and I still got a film of crud building up on my car windscreen. I spend a lot of time in the car now vaping and it is NO WORSE than when I DID NOT smoke, so option 2 for me as well by my own anecdotal evidence and experience!

This thread reminds me, I really must give the inside of the windscreen a clean . . . along with the rest of the car. As tedious a task as cleaning an oven.
