Ok, so this is how it works on here, be warned peeps I join in a random thread about the impending vaping apocalypse and hang my head with my small, and not very disaster proof collection, so a lovely person offers me a fab VTR (which I've been considering as the next step up) at a really good price. All good so far......I now need batteries, at least two if not three, a charger and possibly a new tank, just cos every new shiny should have it's own special, lovely shiny, nice tank (honest it should, it really should) I've got a perfectly working PT 2 with it's very own airflow thing, but.......and help needed here......do I get the newer Kanger airflow2 thing, pt3, a new pt2 etc? the theme here is Kanger cos I can recoil the single coil heads quite happily, but if any other lovely tanks take these coils, well I'd consider them too

What I would buy is a smok airflow control from vape escape, not to control the airflow but to screw into the threads on the vtr. Then screw your atty of choice into that thus avoiding wearing the vtr's threads. I use pt 2's with the first airflow control and aerotanks with no problems. Enjoy your new toy, I love mine.

Get an aerotank v2, has its own airflow base and looks good with the glass tank or the included stainless tank. And I agree with prr get 510-510 fitting to prolong the life of the VTR threads. Screwed on tight it should remain in place when you unscrew your tank

Thank you hijack, I've seen that suggested before but lost the link! Would a straight 510 to 510 connector do the same thing? And, if I add that one, I can presumably then just use the aerotank or my pt2 with airflow controller thing as normal? ignore above, just ordered a couple of the airflow things, son needs one and it makes the postage worthwhile

You might be thinking of a 510/ego-510 in which case it would not sit flush with the clearo base as they look like this
and would leave a big gap between the mod and tank
If you use the vape escape one the protanks and aeortank are the same diameter and sit nice and flush on the mod
Sorry was mid post

Thanks Perpetua, it will make a nice addition, and I'm getting a bit sort of stalled waiting for the MVP (which I love) to charge for 5 hours nearly every day. I've been off for the weekend and partially charged the MVP and the spinner, but it's major charge up day now and I could end up with the old 650 as my only working battery if I'm not careful so I think something with separate batteries mis a good idea. I've bought a couple, and I'll get a couple more next month from Ash, as I've promised the son a VTR case as an extra, extra birthday pressie! He loves his VTR and so is vaping more than smoking now, so all good.

hijack, thanks for explaining that 510 to 510 thing, I wasn't sure but I've ordered the vape escape one, plus one for sons VTR so hopefully all good. Now to just wait........must go do something useful now, been doing this for ages

It's bit of a wossy excuse justification, but if you like having a variety of flavours on the go ( which I do ) the more things you have to attach tanks to, the more time/faffing saved swopping them over. So it's an essential purchase really sleedale. Convinced?

Perpetua that's EXACTLY my sort of logic, and once I have a VTR I can simply swap tanks and the battery instead of having to charge whole units, spinner, MVP, twist etc. I did buy an aerotank along with the batteries etc....free postage justifies the extra, honest, and now I'm mixing I do have a few more flavours to try out! And now I can make coils.....think of the money I'm saving so I'll will HAVE to only buy Kanger tanks Win, win every time

It makes a lot of sense to have an atty for each mod. If you have buy an atty thay doesn't need to be taken off the mod to refill it, then you reduce your unscrewing / screwing the atty by say 80% and it should last 5 times as long.

@johanino thank you for the link, I've seen you praise them before but as I don't know anything about them and can recoil Kanger thanks thought I'd stick with those for now, but I'll bookmark the site and check back for when they are back in stock.
