Per the HMRC website Ron - so it's Import VAT rather than Duty.... If you order or purchase goods other than alcohol, tobacco, perfume and toilet water from a country outside the EU then you have to pay: Customs Duty on goods with a value that exceeds £135 import VAT on goods with a value that exceeds £15 Note that on all goods from outside the EU, Customs Duty is waived if the amount of duty calculated is £9 or under. Just wondering how much of a toil it'd be for Rich from nicvape to complete the customs forms and add the duty/vat onto the price. I'm assuming this would relieve us of RM's fee.

Ofcourse the price of freezing your bulk bought Nicotine must be added to the cost and so as the average freezer cost £50 a year to run, it can work out a gie expensive "saving" overall.

But I don't run a freezer just for the nic base. Only use the bottom drawer, and not even all of that. Aren't full fridges and freezers more economical to run, or did I just make that up?

Ron, could you please let us know what the nic is like once it arrives? I emailed nicvape recently and they said they've been getting nic in from a better source. I've bought three litres from them in the past, one of which was havily oxidised upon arrival but the other two were fine so it'd be reassuring to hear your opinion lemental The colour is a very light tan colour almost clear but with just a tint of nic

Rich is a US based seller and therefore is not obliged to collect UK VAT.
Plus this from the RM website "If you're sending or receiving goods by post for your personal use from outside the European Union (EU), you'll have to pay any tax and/or duty once the goods arrive in the UK. Normally Royal Mail/Parcelforce will pay what's due on your behalf and may charge a handling fee which you must pay before your parcel can be delivered."

Got you, though i've ordered stuff from Amazon's US site before and you can pre-pay 'import fees' there so I was assuming any retailer could do the same if they did the sums and filled out a declaration.

I think my first comment might be a load of cobblers and you could be right about prepayment of import fees.
