I'd wait and see if the erl clones are any good. Hopefully we'll know within a week or so. Failing that, a kayfun clone.
But I don't regard any of this stuff as pocket friendly.

Buy a genuine Kayfun new or s/h, easy to set up and they work very well.

A Rose is worth the extra fiddle when you realise the amount of flavour that can be had

BrenD if you just want to dip your toe in the rebuildable water I have a Smok RSBT you can have. I dipped my toe and found the water too cold. I put a microcoil in it and first wicking leaked much as I expected. 2nd wicking was spot on and had a couple of tanks of Cherry Tunes through it. All subsequent wickings have been leakers. Too much faff for me. I chose it because it has:- adjustable airflow, glass tank and top fill. I won't be sending the glass drip tip as I love it. I don't want anything for it. Just want to payback some of the help I've had from forum members. PM me your details if you want it.

Just get one of everything BrenD, what you don't like can go in the classies. Or follow decoy's advice. Yeah, the rose is fiddly, but it rewards very well. Once you get your first build up and running you'll wonder why everyone makes such a fuss about them. Really easy to repeat a good build too.

You can not go wrong with a Kayfun for your first RBA wether its a clone or an original. Go for the Kayfun Lite Plus it is a great little atty that is easy to build on and when setup properly a great trouble free vape.

I haven't managed to set mine up yet, but the Rose is running like a steam train, as is the original Squape I got, cant wait for the Squape R so I can have a play with that as well

The Kayfun Lite Plus is probably one of the easiest builds out there. The secret to kayfuns is getting the wicking right. Without a doubt the Squape Reloaded is the easiest atomiser to build on at the moment but at £115 it is not twice as good as the Kayfun.
Not many people in here mention the Taifun GT but it will give the Squape R, Rose V2 and the Kayfun a run for their money with the right build in it.

I haven't got a Taifun (yet) IMHO the Taifun is way under estimated. I have an original but there are a few nice clones available. You can set it up with cotton, mesh or silica and it gives a terrific vape.

I vote for the Kayfuns, I have 3 and they are all great atties, once you learn by trial and error how best to set them up and use them. However I would also give a sturdy vote for the Taifun GT; I have one from FT and it's a great little thing, and the only one I can get satisfactory performance from wicked with rayon. It is my resident Custard Machine, and the 4.5ml capacity lasts longer than anything else I own. Can't comment on the Squape or the Rose as I haven't even seen them in the flesh, let alone vaped them - yet!
