I would advise doing the following:
Wrap the SD button in a piece of cloth and hold it in a pair of pliers - then take a good flat-head screwdriver and tighten the screw as much as possible. This should work.

Put a small spring washer in there, that'll stop any movement

How do you lose the switch? Does it just drop off?Found the answer to that at lunch time - went to vape and nothing happened - total confusion - then I looked at the end of the SD where the switch should be and not there - it HAD just dropped off - fortunately I was sat on the couch and managed to find the switch and spring before the she-devil kitten did.

I've almost lost the button from my SDII twice but, fortunately, indoors so was able to locate the spring with the help of a magnet and a sweep of the carpet! I keep a screwdriver handy and each time I change the battery I check that the screw is good and tight. The button assembly will need replacing from time to time as the spring becomes slack and doesn't engage properly; stretching it slightly from time to time will extend the life a little. Fox

I bought an extender tube for my SD m2 to let it take 18650 batteries.
