I have 4 riva 1100 batteries and 3 of them have been used in a fairly constant cycle of charge, spare and use since I got them but lately they dont seem to be working too well - getting hot in use and flashing as if they are out of charge when they aren't - although maybe that's me working them too hard. So figured I needed to get ready for getting some more supplies in. Anyway I was mooching about t'internet early this morning and came across TW's yoyo promotion and managed to bag myself a Black SD Mk2 Full Kit for £31.34!! So now I have an SD on the way - due to arrive Tuesday and I suspect I will be as clueless when it arrives as I was when my riva 1100 did. So does anyone have any hints/tips on how best to use it / look after it? If it helps, I'm currently using smokeymisers on my riva batts and enjoying that but the original atomiser/cartridge combo did my head in (too much refilling) as did the echomiser (lack of flavour and again too much topping up). And I've never got into dripping either.

Does your full kit come with the 901-501 adapter? If not it is best to buy one and ask TW to combine your purchases(save on postage)
The 901 attys that come with the kit are lovely, but you will need to drip them or fill the carts.
Once you have the adapter you can use what your using now.

Watch the bottom activation button Tizer, they can have a habit of unscrewing themselves on the SD . . . when I had mine, I got into the habit of making sure it was safely screwed up. This will make more sense when you get your lovely new purchase.

SD Mk2: 1 Make sure the button is screwed up tight - use a real screwdriver not finger tight 2 Keep all the threads clean 3 The TW "tank adapter" can be a Screwdriver killer - make sure it is screwed together properly - SDs rarely give problems but these tank adapters can cause shorts if the two halves are loose (nothing to do with SDs I should stress) 4 IMHO the best thing to screw onto a screwdriver is a Low Resistance 901 atomiser. 5 Read this: ukvapers.com/blog/9/entry-171-in-praise-of-the-screwdriver-part-1-a-bit-of-history/

Okay got it sussed.
1. Buy a 901>501 adaptor for my smokeymizers - done! 2. Keep my bottom screwed up tight - waiting for the double entendres but see point 3 3. Keep it clean - please!
Prof, I didn't but a TW Tank Adaptor - this is first purchase from TW and didn't get the kit with the tank adaptor and to be honest I was only tempted by the site because of the yo-yo discount. It's not a site I frequent and although I'm not normally a raging feminist, the site design does irk me somewhat - what has a woman apparently dressed in nothing more than a garter and bra got to do with selling e-cigs? Might appeal to the fella's but as a female consumer does nothing for me other than irk! Think that might be today's word - irk.
I also know very little about tanks - think I'm starting to cotton on to what they are about but not yet ready to try them out for myself and unfortunately I don't get on with atomisers and white/blue filler or dripping.

A good regular 901 to 510 (short) adapter will be ideal for cartos on your SD - never had a problem with them. I'm not a tank user myself either...

Every time I take my SD out I lose the blummin switch, last time I lost just the spring (found the switch) tried replacing it with a pen spring but it didn't work, It's not so much paying for the replacements that bugs me, more the £3 postage everytime for such a tiny item. I reckon I've spent around £32 just on switches!

TW sent me a replacement switch assembly, but I managed to snag a spare set of four switches in the YoYo for about a tenner, so I'll be okay for a few more months I reckon

How do you lose the switch? Does it just drop off? You've got me so worried I am now probably on the road to destroying my SD as I read as I keep fiddling with the switch to see if it will drop off!

I do tighten them, honest! but the last one lasted a couple of hours. tizerbelle, the 'on' button is attached to a screw and it has a tendency to undo itself. Remembering to put on the switch cover after use would have been a big help! scanbran, I think I'll have to invest in the four pack, at least it's only one lot of postage too.
