Can I ask if there are any rules or best ways for storing the liquids used for mixing? I've seen posts about freezing the nic base but does this just apply if you are ordering huge amounts? I'm also wondering about flavourings, home made, and ready made juices? I know I'm maybe jumping the gun here as my stuff has not actually arrived yet but just thought I'd ask. I know certain juices need to sit for a while but is there any use by date? No doubt I'll have a lot more questions so please bear with me.

It is fine to keep and use upto that date without freezing.
If you can depending on how much you have, leave some in a cool dry dark cupboard to use, the rest decant into dark glass bottles and store in the fridge, just keep decanting some to store at room temperature before use.
Concentrates and juice, some have a date on some do not, the general thinking is that they will keep in a cool dark dry cupboard for 2 years. Mine never last over 6 months so I have not tried 2 years lol.

I don't worry about ' use by dates ' on anything in all honesty bonnieboy . . . providing it's stored correctly. Which for most of our stuff means a cool dark place for near immediate use. Long term, the fridge . . . even longer term the freezer. But if you do pop anything in the freezer it's worth decanting into glass bottles, as that will help prevent any degradation. Much of my supplies are over 2 years old, stored like that and they're fine.

For long term storage 1 You are best to store long term in glass bottles rather than plastic as glass is a fantastic oxygen barrier and will not leach ---- but on the other hand if you drop a glass bottle 2 keep all your liquids cool and out of sunlight -------- if you have bucket loads of nicotine base then use a freezer and remember to label it 3 if you come back to any liquid/flavour that has sat in a cupboard for a year or two give it a shake and a sniff if smells rank then bin it.
Nicotine base will darken and may/will develop a smell over time but the smell should not be vastly overpowering or repugnant- The stronger the DIY nicotine the darker it will tend to turn PG should have little or no smell and be clear like water VG should have little or no smell and be clear like water
Best colour glass to store nicotine base in to avoid light damage Best- brown Good -Blue Not good - green, clear
Use by/best before date for e-liquids assume you are not going to take care of the liquid
