I can imagine the poor guy is stressing over it but its not his fault, its just one of those things. I took a good look at mine and i think any fix might be a dead end. Im just going to write it off to one of those things that happen if you buy clones. He struck lucky with the rose but thats cos you cant really take to many short cuts when copying the way its put together.

very clever indeed i gave up on the two rose clones i had after going through nearly a whole spool of kanthal just to get one coiled that was my problem getting the legs down into the base Fancy giving one another go then. nah even when i got one to vape good it was the same as my kayfun vape wise but 10 times more a pita to build, the bigger holes in the base is a great idea, would be a good feature on the original roses

I`ve often looked at that positive connection where the wire goes in and thought that is a short waiting to happen, the positive post and the chassis are incredibly close. Needs some sort of very thin insulator "mica?* .

I have had the odd short which ive cured by giving the coil a bit of a wiggle which makes me think the positive post can touch the base sometimes.

It is a bit odd really. I dont really understand why they didn't make a sleave to cover the whole post instead of just a small bit at the bottom. i suppose if you took a mil off the top you could then drop a tiny o ring in to keep it away from the base.

Needs some sort of very thin insulator "mica?* . thought the same when I first stripped it down for cleaning. Working great at the mo so will look at it again next time I rebuild it and countersink the holes while I'm at it, that def is a pita
