Yep agree with what everyone is saying.

Nothing worse than having to wait for a battery to charge.. This will be a sure way you will end up having a crafty ciggy while waiting.

And as for still having a ciggy, some people find it impossible to drop that morning one straight after waking up and one before bed but everyone is different.
You might find that what you have got is working well enough that you don't feel the need to have one in the morning... Its all trial and error.
If you don't put too many expectations on yourself than you have more chance of being successful with vaping.
If you have the odd ciggy here and there throughout the day don't think of it as "oh I've had enough fag" instead try and look at the amount you have avoided throughout the day instead.

With all the help here you will find advice to guide you all the way through any problems you encounter.
I also find being in an active community definitely helps and you have people all around who will help support you.

Last bit of advice, get some 18mg and 24mg..Atleast then if 24mg is too strong you have the 18mg there ready and if the 18mg isn't hitting the spot you have the 24mg to go straight to.. That way your not waiting 3-4 days for a new delivery, you will also be surprised with flavours.
I've never used a tobacco and the smell and taste of tobacco juices make me feel sick, I only vape fruits and sweets, you might be the same or you might find you love them.

just wanted to say welcome mandrose51 - and you can do it - I am just a bit older than you are - and was smoking from the age of 17 - at the end also about 15 ciggies - but ............ hm there were times whebn it was far more - most important of all is you desire to vape and quit or cut down those nasty sticks - you ended up in a fantastic forum - best way to start your vaping journey

Hiya mandrose51 and a warm from me too.

How are getting on with the 24mg juice (if you have bought it already that is), personally i'd buy a bottle of 18mg too, just in case you find the 24mg too strong. I was a 10-15 a day smoker too and I find 18 mg perfect for me as it has just the right amount of throat hit.

Hi cHooBeyDoo, thanks for your warm welcome! I have never been on such a friendly forum before 

i only order my e-cig & juices last night, so I'm still smoking the real things at the moment    Hopefully I should have my orders soon tho! 

Someone else on here said that as a 15 a day smoker 18mg would be strong enough, so I went with that advise and only ordered that strength! The last thing I want is for my throat to be stripped, lol! 

My friend at work is going to join me & is ordering tonight, so we will be able to support each other too. For the first time in my life I'm looking forward & ready to giving up smoking! I'm going to be cool though & not get worked up if I duel fuel for a little while (I believe that's the right terminology to use, lol) 

I'm  definitely going to be a regular visitor on this site, that's for sure

That's one of the great things about vaping, you do it in your own time and at a pace that suits you. As you say, there's no need to get worked up about duel fuelling, no one is pressuring you to give up except yourself and if you do have the odd smoke, so what!
The main thing is you have decided to give vaping a go and are in the right mindset to maybe give up smoking at some point.

When I first started vaping 6 months ago, I personally thought that it would be hard for me to stop smoking, and very soon found out that vaping was the perfect answer to quitting and I haven't touched a smoke since that first vape.

It's really great news that your friend is also giving it a go and hopefully you will both get lots of fun and enjoyment from this vaping malarky!
