Hi everyone, another newbie here! I'm still a nasty smoker I'm afraid! After seeing so many people vaping, I'm really excited as I think I may have found the answer to help me give up the nasty ciggies once & for all! A little bit about me - I'm female & 51. I've been smoking since I was 16 & currently puff my way through approx 15 a day. I'm very worried about the damage I have already done to myself & will continue to do unless I stop! Also the money saved is very much needed. Im now going to admit to being completely confused about a lot of the threads on here, so I'm hoping someone will be kind enough to help as I would love to order online tonight! I've tried writing down tips etc in a notepad today but I've written so many I actually can't understand what they mean, whoops! I wrote down Vision Spinner 2 & like the look of that but I understand I need to also buy a clearomizer & charger. Does anyone know if its possible to buy a complete kit, so I don't have to worry about getting the right fittings etc? If anyone knows a good online store that would be great! I also wrote down 24mg 70/30 for the juice - I think this was the strength for someone who smokes a lot like me. Would it come ready made so I can just pour it in? Again, any recommendations on an online store to use would be appreciated! The last question is - I read somewhere that the e-cigs need to be kept upright or will leak - is this right as I can't see how I will carry it in my handbag upright? Sorry for being so demanding on my first post, I promise once I'm sorted I'll get easier many thanks Mandrose

Welcome Mandrose. This is a good starter kit: www.vapeescape.co.uk/Deluxe-Vaping-Kits/Aspire-Premium/Aspire-Premium-Starter-Kit.Html?cPath=18_119It may seem dear compared to some starter kits, but if you start with the really cheap kit you will more likely be upgrading sooner anyway. And... a better tank will give you a better vape than the really cheap cartomizers you get with some kits As a 15 a day smoker I'd think about 18mg. 24 will be quite harsh on your throat... the thing with nic level is how much you think you will be vaping. If you are going to pick it up in the morning, and then again at lunch time you will need a higher nic level to get you through the day... if you are able to vape more frequently a lower nic level will get you through, while being nicer to vape. Get some 10ml testers from Joose Juice (£1.50 a pop), and order a few flavours that you fancy in 18 and 24, then you can see how you like them before you splash the cash on bigger bottles. (try the Caramel Blend... tis awesome!!!)

Welcome to you mandrose51 Nothing to apologize for, being a smoker - we all were at one time. As an ex 40/50 a day smoker, 15 a day actually sounds not too bad to me! This is a good little starter kit, variable voltage/wattage battery and some Iclear 16 clearomizers, the charging cable is also included. myepack.co.uk/review/product/list/id/771/category/11/I'd think about getting another battery as a spare perhaps, though you can use this one whilst it's charging - but it is handy to have spares. If you spend over £40.00 at Myepack, then shipping is free.

Hi mandrose51 and a very warm from me too Both kits linked to above are great starter kits and should do you well, both vendors are great. Whichever vendor you do use, check out the discounts thread. As leo said, Joose Juice is a great place to go to get some reasonably priced but quality eliquid from. They are made to order though, so some of them will benefit from some time tucked away in a dark cupboard for a week or two before you use them. The mint/menthol flavours are good to go as soon as you receive them though. Buy a few different flavours so you can get an idea for which types you like, then we can point you in all sorts of directions for similar but different juices. Also, agree with Perpetua, do make sure you get a couple of batteries as there's nothing worse than reaching for your only one and it being flat, or you can't find where you put it down last (happens to me all the time!) The other thing to remember is don't beat yourself up if you don't switch from smoking to vaping overnight, many of us duel fuelled before switching to vaping full time... count the ciggies you don't have, not the ones you do. Best of luck and just shout if you have any more questions

Hello mandrose51 and Nothing to add on starter kits, the folks above have it all covered with great recommendations. Take your pick and happy vaping. As said some dual fuel and others switch overnight. It doesn't matter which you but when you do convert you'll soon see and feel the benefits to your health

Welcome from me too, I'm 57 and smoked from the age of 12 till I bought my first kit 20 months ago, since when I've not smoked. Good kit has been pointed out and you can try a company called smokerainbow that sell 1ml sampler liquids for only a few pennies each, there is a vast knowledge on this forum so just ask away if you have a question, someone will have an answer. mandrose51

Welcome Your certainly in safe hands here, I would also recommend the aspire kit! You might find starter kits for £20/25 but you will be updating and left feeling underwhelmed with the performance. The bit you missed which IMO is the most important part is your juice. I would recommend buying in 5/10ml bottles so you can sample as many flavours as you would like. If you can get your juice right then it will make it miles easier to not pick up another ciggy again. I would say a lot of people who try vaping and dont get on with it us due to trying to buy a cheap setup and not experimenting with juices. See it as an investment, 5 packs of fags will get you the starter kit and within a week it's paid for itself. Would also recommend maybe an 18mg juice though thus will depend on what kind of cigarettes you smoke? King size? Lite? Menthol?

Oh wow, thank you so much everyone for your welcomes and advice - I didn't expect any replies so quickly, yet alone such warm ones! I've decided to go with Perpetua's choice of the ITaste VV3 as if this worked & you smoked more than me it has to be good (thank you for your suggestion though Leo, much appreciated). Before I order, can I just ask how I can order a spare battery? I did a search on Myepack but couldn't find one! I think I need a spare, so there is never the panic of it running out of charge. It seems a great idea to order the testers from Joose Juice but I wanted to make sure I had a tobacco one ready for use straight away. Will I need to store all of them for a week or 2 before I can use them? One thing you have all reassured me of is not to beat myself up if I still have a proper ciggie at first! I think that will really help with the giving up process & stop me panicking about failure! I'm actually feeling really positive & looking forward to not smelling like a nasty ash tray! Thanks all Mandrose x

Get a couple of bottles of tobacco flavour juice from Myepack, along with your order as they will be ready to use straight away. Joose Juice only do a couple of tobacco based flavours, black gold and caramel blend, but neither f them are exclusively tobacco. We tend to see most new vapers think they will only like tobacco flavour juice, but it doesn't take long for 90% to realise there are so many other lovely flavours out there and in fact, tobacco tastes

Thanks Marcus 1988! I currently smoke approx 15 Marlborough gold a day, so pretty strong! What would be the best tobacco flavour do you think? I'm going to get other tester pots in different flavours but would like the tobacco one to start me off too!

Oh,and a second iTaste from Myepack is here. You could save a bit by buying a lesser battery but then you would also need to buy a special charger to go with it, so if you're going for the itaste starter kit, I'd recommend a 2nd itaste battery to go with it

Thanks Lairey for replying so quickly! I'm definitely going to try other flavours but my brain at the moment has convinced me the tobacco flavour is the way to go, lol! Are you able to help me with my spare battery question too please Lairey?
