So for recoiling protank 2 heads (and got a Kayfun on the way too) Is a shopping list of 10m of .25 a1 kanthal 10m of .3 a1 kanthal 100% pure cotton pads(or jap cotton?) Precision screwdriver set Wire clippers Got my istick or Itaste to check ohms Got a coil jig from myepack ( bit tiny but) Got a lighter or is it advisable to get a blowtorch? Yep that covers all you need, never used a lighter but it will work although slower. I'd get a blowtorch, there not expensive although if you wrap the coils pretty type you can stick them on a mod to heat up then squeeze together with tweezers AFTER you let go of the fire button or during firing IF you use ceramic tweezers.

Can you recommend a good dripper for a beginner why I'm ordering from fasttech as I'm looking to start mixing in a couple of month and I've read it's easier to try ur juice on a dripper The 3 best I've had from there are the tugboat v2, tobh v2 and dark horse. tugboat for ease of build & flavour. www.fasttech.com/products/3028/10009143/1897700Tobh for ease of build and flavour & clouds. www.fasttech.com/products/3028/10007863/1716603Dark horse for build quality, ease of build & clouds (best quality dripper I've had from FT) www.fasttech.com/products/3028/10009911/1926003My fave is the dark horse atm but I'm not sure I can recommend for a beginner so even though its my fave, my advice would be get one of the other 2.

Personally I really rate the Mephisto www.fasttech.com/search?mephisto as it has large post holes and good solid Flat top screws which makes it a doddle for a beginner. It gives good vapour and taste too, and is inexpensive.

c1booth - I started with an IGO-L and it's a simple no-frills dripper with a reasonably deep juice well to pack your wick into. Loads of room to work, and just make sure the airhole is lined up with the coil before you try it out! I also have a Magma and a Plume Veil, although I have also heard good reports of the Mephisto - all these last three drippers can be built with a single coil to get you started, but will accommodate dual coils later down the line, which doubles the flavour, vapour and taste. Whichever one you get, there will be a learning curve involved, and you will have successes and failures which is all part of the fun. Once you get a good coil (or coils!) going, you will get so much more flavour from your juices!

What is the direr de between a coil and microcoil? Is a dual coil just 2 coils/microcoils?

Old thread alive again...... Few months on and here is my first ever dripper... Athough my first ever coil is a little beat up i still use this to test new juice. Own about ten drippers now but still plenty to try and more to learn...
