Thank you, is that OK to use as/is or does it need boiling first? I could send my wife to Plymouth, if I tell her to go to Hobbycraft she will either think I'm after something or that I've finally gone mad

Just had one more try at wicking the coil using VapingBad 's method and after a bit of faffing it went through . . . . . . . . THEN I rechecked the ohmage.... all ok, did a little fire to check I hadn't distorted the coil too much.... and FORGOT TO PUT JUICE ON IT FIRST.... it burnt clean through my cotton and I'm back where I started

Opps , I can't take credit for that method Q loads of people use it, but I can't remember where I saw it first.

I tend to rewick my Kayfuns every couple of tanks. I have 3, so none of them get 24/7 usage, so I can usually get away with almost a week from each one. I do one tank a night, only takes 5 minutes, quick rinse once it's empty, dry with kitchen towel, dry burn the coil, and bang some new cotton in, and away we go again. I also have a Taifun, and this gets the rayon treatment, the only atty which I can get to wick without leaking. Coils - once the taste becomes muted despite the regime above, I pop a new coil in, about once every 6 weeks, and this coincides nicely with my school down-time. Either that or a rainy Sunday when I can't kayak

I was talking to prr about this earlier today, I'll have a bash at knocking up a customised Vape wick threader.

I f anyone should happen to go to Hobbycraft for any of this would they kindly buy some for me and send it (obviously I'll pay) My wife had her mission yesterday, went to Plymouth, asked the assistant and was shown some Rico for TEN POUNDS!!! Now considering its only £1 on their website (plus stupid postage) she made the right decision and said NO I'd like to give it (or something similar) a try so if anyone can help I'd be eternally grateful

Once a week for my mini kayfun and Dolly's Kayfun, the mesh wick and coil on my Taifun GT has now lasted me 3 months plus, just take it apart and give it a bit of a burn and its good to go again. I find it gives a better flavour too.

I use a needle threader, the aluminium bit is crap so I super glue 2 pennies together with the wire bit in between them. Push the wire bit through the coil, poke the wick into it and gently pull back towards me, takes about a few seconds to rewick the coil!
