In America its likely ecigs will be classed as tobacco products. Otherwise they are medicine.

Well he does need to do some basic research as he does come over as wilfully clueless at best. It is amazing that someone how is often criticised for bad science and premature articulation by some of the top people in his field gets this big pay-day, WHO said liars don't prosper.  |

They always seem to want to drag nicotine products along with tobacco products.
Nicotine is the active ingredient in tobacco-derived products. Tobacco is the plant that contains thousands of potent chemicals, one of the main chemicals being nicotine.
We live in an era of smart phones and stupid people.

I like the phrase " Give someone enough rope and they will hang themselves"
I'm sure with the scientific research that Glantz will do , it will be inappropriate for the task which he intends it to be for and will be the laughing stock AGAIN.
There is also NO mention of any independent parallel study to go alongside the research that he is going to conduct.
Another phrase that springs to mind with Glantz and others that like to snipe things they have NO clue about and do research that has no relevance is "All the gear , no idea".
I'm also waiting ( as some country will try it ) for a country ( western world ) to ban E-Cigs and then the following year have the smoking rates sky rocket and wait to see the reaction and explanation of that government as to why that was.
