OS Yosemite thread (apple)

Took me 3 hours to download and install on fossilized macbook. Wasn't expecting it to install. Printer works. Took a while to get my filter to protect me from the likes of fiddles and teethcv (kings of smut) to work but working now. (I have K9 filter software and takes a bit of fiddling to set up but is good).

But tell me? Asides from a new GUI what is the difference between yosemite and mavericks?

From what I can tell, Yosemite is little more than a lick of paint (and a great way to get A*ple in the tech headlines right about the time their new phones and tablets hit the shelves in time for blllleeeeep)

Just what I was thinking leo. Quite agree. Yes Greg yosemite is a free upgrade for apple users ....wouldn't pay for it!!!!

I think its the other way around Jane I might need protection from you ! I did notice the Freudian slip in your post , your subconscious is thinking about a bit of fiddling with fiddles

I downloaded Yosemite friday night took about an hour to download and install (yes its free) I'm not to keen on it and it seems very buggy so will be looking out fro updates.
saying that when i went from windows 7 to 8 on my laptop i hated it and never used windows since

Yeah windows updates are worse than apple's and in apple's defence I have an old white macbook I think 2010/2011 I'm running yosemite on.

Just seems a different GUI and that's about it?

Do you have anything to sync with your mac rigdriver?

The iPhone works fine with the new version of iTunes haven't plugged the the iPad in yet
