I've not got one, but no one else has answered, IIRC 2200 mAh with a 1 A charger if that's correct probably 3-4 hours on a 1 A or above power supply, but one a standard 500 mA USB more like 6 hours I would guess.

No where near that long VB... no idea how, but fully charged in just a couple of hours using my old 700mah blackberry charger.

On the theme of charging ...... I'm using the lead and mains plug thing that came with it and it takes longer than a couple of hours and that's from not empty, so.......as it's supposed to be able to charge at 1amp does this mean I can use my Kindle lead and Iphone plug thingy........or a Kindle lead and the plug thingy that came with it.......which bit, the lead or the plug thingy limits the amps?

Faster charging my kindle charger does it around 2 hours. Says in the instructions can use the higher rating chargers.

No idea which bit sleedale but I use my kindle charger and lead but I charge each night when it's just under half full takes around an hour.

They would get close to an amp at battery voltages from 700 mA USB, maybe they are just fast-charging and skipping or shortening the last phase most chargers do (saturation phase) and running the batter around 90 % capacity which is not a bad idea when everyone seems happy with the battery life.  IIRC 2250 mAh charge from 3.6 to 4.2 V in under 2 h on a 1 Amp Xtar charger, so they could be not discharging below 3.6, but I think that is less likely.

I put mines on at 10 this morning and the lights are out at about half 12 so two and a half hours using their charger and plug from empty

'Ours' (ahem!!) arrived in Wednesday's post, and was showing 50% yesterday morning, so popped it on the Kindle charger. Was back to showing full charge in 90 minutes.

chykensa when you used your Kindle lead to charge your your wifes iStick.....what mains plug did you use? I don't have a specific Kindle mains plug, and use my iPhone mains plug for the Kindle, but I am almost paranoid about using the wrong mains plug and leads on ecig batteries (mainly cos I don't want to blow up)

If it says 1 amp or under on the adapter for maximum current it should be fine sleedale

Well, that's an eye opener

Iv'e just looked at two iPhone chargers.......the old one, that came with my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2, says it outputs at 5.1V 2.1 A (that's the plug that came in two parts you connected together)

The newer charger, that came with the iPhone 5 says it outputs at 5V 1A (the smaller, slimmer plug type)

I use the old one for the Kindle, no problems......well the Kindle still works and charges fine.

So technically I should be able to use the newer one for the iStick, as the plug that came with the iStick outputs at 5V or 500mA (assume that's .5 A?)

So many chargers, so little time

My Kindle came with a mains plug as far as I can remember, and it has max output 1A, so figured it would work OK for the iStick. The little blue baby hasn't blown up yet, so nothing too wrong with this decision.
