"Smellies"

Now that you've all stopped smoking and advanced to Vaping, I can quite appreciate the smug satisfaction the term evokes.

The smell of cigarette smoke is not too intolerable, cigar smoke can be quite pleasant and non aromatic pipe smoke can be very acceptable.

The problem comes when someone nips out for a fag, when they come back in they bloody reek!

Lets not get too superior though, sweet smelling vaping can be quite sickly.

I prefer tobacco flavours, but once I was vaping Cappuccino coffee, several people  in the bar found it obnoxious, I've stuck to tobacco flavours in bars ever since.

I just wonder what some of the fruit flavours must smell like.

Just thought I'd make the observation.

Went to o council offices today and a young lady walked by me.... she reeked!!! First time I thought 'eewwwww!'

I don,t think it would have mattered what you were vaping Jim they would have still complained, you vape whatever you like where permissible , as for fruit flavours give them a try you never know you might just like them.

Can't say that I've ever felt ' smug ' least I hope not jevans . . .  chuffed with myself yes, to not be smoking after 36 years of the habit.

I had a visitor today, who stank of fags - I'd be mortified if I'd smelt like that when I smoked, but I probably did and still would be if it weren't for ecigs.

My non smoking friends tolerated a lot from me on reflection.

My one main protagonist is a very recent reformed smoker, so perhaps its a case of sour grapes.

Gotta admit, the smell of someone after a ciggy is absolutely disgusting.

But on the other hand, my Mrs doesnt vape and has NEVER smoked a cigarette in her life... She hates thr smell of my vapour. I only vape sweets/fruits.. Mainly skittles and she hates it.

Obviously prefers it over smoking but she can always tell if she's popped in somewhere and I'm left in the car and haven't opened the window before having a vape
The in-laws are the same, if I vape at the back door and the wind blows it in the house as soon as her parents are home they can smell it.. Bloody nose like a police dog

You are quite right re fruit flavours etc., must remember the old adage "don't knock it till you've tried it"!

Lots of fruit vapours smell delicious when exhaled - I've had lots of people comment on how nice Red Astaire smells when I vape it, never really realised it myself (much like we could never smell our own stench of stale smoke when on the stinks) but I mixed some up for a couple of girls at work and noticed the other day when they were using it that it does smell lovely (but very strong).

Mrs Dream tolerates most of my flavours fine but she can't abide the smell or taste on my breath of Mrs Lords Druide so with regret I had to stop using it - shame as it was a favourite - but whilst she would kiss me when I tasted like an ashtray over 15 years of cigs, spot of absinthe and no chance lol

Same here, my wife has never smoked or vaped and also hates the smell of just about all the juices I vape. I can't smell a thing when I vape, but I guess I didn't when I smoked either, nor do you realise how rank you smell just about all the time if you smoke.

I was in one of my local pubs chatting with a few people about vaping, they asked if the vapor had a smell, so as a one off I had a quick vape, they said it wasn't like fags but all found it unpleasant.

One plus point was that they wouldn't have known I vaped as they said I didn't smell at all
