Well I seem to have inadvertently joined the big boys with recent coil lark! Not much vapour and vamo won't fire it! Its on my taifun gt on my t-max.

So I've let it bed in and I'm taking really girly delicate puffs cos I'm scared of it! Vamo won't fire it, istick won't fire it but tmax does. I think ft might have got their ohmage wrong on their coils. Got this at 0.6 and another at 0.9. Meant to be 1.5 ! Cloud chasing now, wick is truly wet now Think I'll build my own mod next .... NOT!!!

I went back on my orders on ft and discovered I'd bought nr-r-nr or some such the first time and non welded the next time. Not sure if it actually makes any difference but presume it does after all. Anyway, I nor device has blown up so I shall just carry on!

It shouldn`t make a difference @spikeyfridge, but NR-R-NR will ensure that all the power is in the coil and it isnt wasting any in the legs

I should have asked on here first before ordering but I thought I knew enough! The physics of it all really confuddles me! Plus point is, I can now recoil a taifun confidently and competently. Happy days!

That's the thing with non-NR coil legs. As you trim the legs you're actually reducing the resistance - so not a surprise you're hitting 0.8 now.

The good thing about FT coils is that they are VERY accurate in my experience of them, which is all the time because I`m a lazy barstool

I had a go at zapping nr legs on my microcoil for my diver v2 ...what a bloody faff! forget it, whilst fasttech make nr-r-nr wires, and coils I'm buying them! OK you cant really re-wick as they are flimsy but it isn't a problem as rebuilding with readymades on ceramics takes a minute or two.
I've even bought a load of their ready made microcoils, marvelous things! I really am lazy but under £2 for 50? its worth it for when I'm in a rush or i'm having a spazzy hand day! which seems like every day...
