Thanks for the recommendation VapingBad I shall look him up I have to say that my love of reading has been 'rekindled' since I bought a kindle! I do plow through books at an alarming rate and I find an ereader far easier to manage nowadays. That and a certain amount of illegal downloads keeps me keen

IIRC they were sort of based on poem Paradise Lost by John Milton. What happened with that film, all the effects, actors & sets were great, but it was a huge disappointment.

Have read most of the authors mentioned as at one time I acquired "cough cough" a vast collection of books and can add Craig Johnson "Longmyre" series, Quintin Jardine, Jo Nesbo, Andrew Vachss, John Sandford, Michael Connelly John Connolly and Steig Larson

The only films I can think of that match up to the books has to be LOTR/Hobbit and Harry Potter? yes I have merrily plowed through JK Rowling's & JRR Tolkein's books when I had the choice I went for traditional kindle, battery lasts forever but you need a torch to read in the dark

me too! have the wee lamp I can slot into my case. I can probably leave bedside lamp on anyhows as my man can fall asleep on a log - he's out cold within a minute, much to my disgust as it can take up to 2 hours for me to drop off (take no notice of me I'm envious of him really) I've learnt not to stress over my inability to sleep

you people with all the money kindle think mine is called a sovos, had it for years haha I got mine for a birthday I'm guessing about 5 years ago. At the time I was grateful but secretly thinking there is no way I can read books on this thing without the feel and interaction of flipping pages on a book. In truth it is so much better, having hundreds of books to hand, once you start reading you are immersed and forget what type of device you are on anyway. Battery lasts me about 2 weeks - pretty incredible device really.

I bought both my teenage girls a 'nook' each ( sale special) I honestly thought I was wasting time and energy... To my amazement they love them! I loaded all sorts of random books on them and they now love reading (even if its crap like 50 shades of') Least they are reading and i'm chuffed. My 18yo has just traveled to Swansea and made sure her nook was charged.. Massive pleasurable surprise to me I didnt have TV until I was 11 and I assumed it wouldnt appeal but e-readers have revived books thankfully!

unfortunately I think mine may be on the way out as the battery is not lasting as long these days and while I can still run it through the cable I don't want to strangle myself with it when I turn round

Have a search on youtube to see if someone has posted a video.
