I'm rather limited on what books I can get hold of. I have to rely on British tourists bringing over books and leaving them behind after they've read them so that I can snatch 'em up I have managed to fill my bookcase with a nice selection of leftovers though I hate these kindle machines though, coz a lot of tourists now use these instead of bringing books over for me to grab

My sister-in-law came over for a holiday with her kindle and tried downloading some books from my computer but found she couldn't do it on the English book website because my IP was in Spain, that's all I remember about it.

Nearly finished Stuart MacBrides Cold Granite and i recommend it, i like his sense of humour and its a bit lighter than Jo Nesbo. Oh and E-readers are soooo much better than a 'real' book, so handy having a few dozen books is such a small package

Snuff by Terry Prachett. Anyone who hasn't come across his Discworld books really should give them a try. Laugh out loud funny in places, great characters and excellent stories.

Just starting a song of ice & fire series by George R R Martin. My brother just finished them so I have pinched them. Just finished perfect people by Peter James. And fast-paced and exciting read with an interesting perspective on designer babies with a bit of a sci-fi twist into a book based closely to reality. The ending is a touch quick but a very enjoyable read none the less. Will have to look at some of these other authors you all reccomend. I normally have something crime/thriller/action on the go as well as something comical and or informative with my favourite authors being Patterson, James, Grisham, Rice & Bryson. I really enjoyed Perfect People, so different yet so gripping.

Pepperty you might like Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy I have these books but have never read them, bought them for my granddaughter after she had finished Harry Potter, but she didn't get on with Pullman.
