silly question time

hi to all
          just wanted to know what members are using to clean out there tanks, i have just been using water on my pro 3 mini's then putting in new atties. thing is i also have a few EMOW mega tanks with airflow and thay dont break down as well as the pro tanks and im left with a flavor that dont want to shift in one of them ( it was a citrus and menthol juice flavor ) any help appreciated

Generally just water or if it's a strong flavour a strident tablet

Any menthal flavours are notoriously known to linger though so you should dedicate a specific atty for such flavours.

A good soak in cup of hot water with a squirt of Milton fluid.
You'll find its probably the o rings that have picked the flavour up.

ok and thanks for the reply, will pick up some strident or milton fluid. if i could strip down the emow mega tanks i would replace the o rings, but im pretty certain thay dont come apart much.

I break them down as much as poss and leave them in hot water until I remember them, then air dry on windowsill

If you have it you could try Isopropyl alcohol. Just make sure you give everything a good rinse after

No such thing as a sill question, brummiematt - I use a cheap Steradent tablet for stubborn flavours, but good advice above about keeping one of two tanks for strong flavours as they can be quite stubborn. My Menthol Protank never gets anything else in it!!

Technically they can rot in IPA but if thee O rings can take the tank cracker juices then they are probably going to be OK with a couple of mins in IPA.

The only really safe way is pure water but we all have our preferred method

A wibbly water bath (aka ultrasonic cleaner) does a great job of cleaning attys. When I have a batch of juices made up and zap them in the cleaner a few icky atties go in there too for a cleaning. Does the job a treat.

I agree a brief encounter with IPA would be fine, make sure you get them really clean though as it sure won't taste too good

Only flavour that has currently defeated me in removing it is afro dizziac in fogger v4 need to get new irungs for it.
