my favourite and is not good in concentrate mixed up 100ml at 20% flavour and it tastes funny, horrible aftertaste unlike the pre mixed I still have. So did a mix at 15% and still the same. What I'm tasting I can smell in the concentrate. The nic,PG & VG I got from justvape 247 and in my other mixes (2 are from t juice) are fine and I cannot taste this? Its been about 4 days now and I know t juice recommend up to 7 days steeping but all I'm reading is Red Astaire is good to go straight away. Will try a mix tomorrow if I get time with no nic Don't know if it's me being a newbie but I'm stumped and gutted as only invested in mixing stuff for this.

I have had the same the first few times then when i did some more research in to steeping i tryed one of the methods witch is to mix it then leave in a dark cool place sealed shut for at least 7 days and give them a shake once or twice a day, then open them take the nozzles out and then leave in a dark cool place for no longer than 12 hours to breath after i did that it tasted amazing i also mixed at 20% but with 8mg nic and at 15pg/85vg. Hope this helps you with your mixing.

Red Astaire is good to go really no steeping needed.
20% is the most common mix, although some prefer it weaker at 15%.
So you are correct on those points, which means all I can think is something else is wrong.
It should taste almost exactly the same as the pre-mixed, the only difference would be due to % mixed at which you have done right and pg/ vg ratio. Pre-mixed is 80pg/20vg I believe, but I used to make it at 60pg/40vg and it still tasted the same.

Thanks for the replies
Only mixed red that day so no cross contamination, will let it steep longer and keep my fingers crossed just read a lot on red Astair before mixing and most said good to go without steeping.
edit: yes I'm at 60/40

Hi i did find if i put more pg i could use it straight away but because i mix mine with more vg i needed to steep as the flavour didnt mix with the vg straight away but after steeping for a week the breathing it tasted amazing with loads of flavour and no funny tastes.

Has always tasted identical to me, albeit with a lower throat hit as I mix it 50/50 at 20%
That said its been so long since I had premixed Red I probably wouldn't notice anyway (been mixing it for nearly a year now)

I'd get in contact with Tjuice and report back your findings to them @letsavit - just to see if they can shed any light on it.

Will do but before I'll try another mix tonight and a plain PG/VG nic mix, which I guess should taste of next to nothing, or at least what I'm not tasting. Only have 40ml of pre mixed left so panicking a bit here...!

Amber glass bottles, same as my other mixies? No funny tastes in them and some of the mix went straight into a empty RA t juice bottle. Mixed about 170ml now, nearly out of nic.....

Second - my 4th 50/50 mix, no cherry taste just menthol and camels butt, tried first mix again, same. Third- pre mixed, the good old RA I know and love Need to speak to t juice me thinks, can't of got it wrong 4 times. concentrate batch 140907RA. BBE 02/16

A few emails with Nigel at t juice and new is on its way, no fuss so can't ask more than that. He did say no reports on that batch so I'm going order some different PG/VG & nic from chefs vapour just incase the stuff iv got doesn't like RA.
