Ratios

I know I'm a lazy sod but I'm going to buy some unflavoured dilutant from LiQuid to chuck some red Astaire in for the bairn. These are the strengths they do and the ratios:

24mg/ml - 65(PG) / 35(VG) - strong throat hit / average vapour.
18mg/ml - 60(PG) / 40(VG) - good throat hit / good vapour.
10/12mg/ml - 50(PG) / 50(VG) - medium throat hit / excellent vapour.
6mg/ml - 45(PG) / 55(VG) - mild throat hit / excellent vapour.
0mg/ml - 40(PG) / 60(VG) - no throat hit / massive vapour.

the nipper likes his high vg stuff 20/80 (likes it when he clouds out the room) but he vapes low mg stuff round about the 6mg mark. Will the 6 mg one be ok to mix with 20% red Astaire bringing the nic down a bit or should I get the 12mg and get some vg if boots still sell it to dilute the nic down but increase the vg then add the concentrate so he can stop me seeing the telly per usual? Jebus I've confused myself now. This seemed easy in my head

I'd buy the 24 mg then add ya VG and red more liquid for same money.

The highest VG i can get using the 12mg to get 6mg strength its 43/57
Using the 18mg base its 38/73 @6mg
using the 24mg base its 34/66 @6mg

if he will go lower
then @4mg its 29/71 using the 24mg base

Can u not just buy some VG nic base @72mg?
then you can get 18/82 @ 6mg easily

I'm probably way off base but if I'm trying to work out how much to dilute it with vg to bring it down to the 6mg ish mark. If it's 10 ml of 24mg does it half the nic with every ten ml of vg I put in? Oh frick I've now got a migraine thinking about it

If i add 10ml of VG to 10ml of 24mg 65/35 you end up with
20ml of 12mg 32.5/67.5
but we not allowing for flavour

My own head is hurting now lol

Hahaha mine too. I'm thinking of adding 20 ml of vg to the 24 mg 65/35 then adding the concentrate at 20% which will bring the pg back up. Anyone got Stephen Hawkings number?? 

So far I've managed to confuse myself even more :

for 30 ml I'm going to try
10ml of 24 mg 65/35
20ml of vg
Then drain out 6 ml off the 30ml and replace it with 6ml of red astaire concentrate. What could possibly go wrong

you might have something there lol.
20ml of VG to 10ml of 24mg 65/35 = 30ml 8mg 22/78
then with 20% RA is 36ml, 6.67mg, 35/65

Close enough jcol but I've only got one spare empty 30ml bottle so I'll be siphoning off 6 ml and replacing it with concentrate lol. Hahaha right we both now need a headache tablet

so basically we will have 25ml of 8mg 22/88
then add 5ml of RA
so its
30ml 6.67mg 35/65

That sounds near enough spot on. Massive thanks jcol and igual might turn out awful but it'll keep me outta mischief if nothing else

Bloody hell, I'm going to have a quick vape on some nice RA I have mixed here, 50/50, 16% concentrate, bang in a big 30ml bottle of concentrate, add base, PG and VG to mix as per calculator and Bob's your uncle, 180ml of RA, ready to vape - easy!!

Show off I've got none of that stuff hahaha think the above ratio might suit the nipper down to the ground. Failing that I'll just chuck a 20 percent mix into boots vg and tell him it's got nic base in. If anyone asks say nowt

Seriously though, that 180ml of juice cost about £15 all in, and that includes the nic base. It's definitely the way to go dalealan

EDIT: I mixed at 10mg BTW!

You need to drop to 7.2mg Andy, it makes the numbers easier

With some plain VG from Boots . . . which will give you a 20/80 ratio, as RA @ 20% will be your PG element.

The higher the strength Nic Base you use, the more options you have.

In the long run, it works out far more cost effective and you can achieve the ratios you really want . . . and calculators make the maths simple.
