I have used aerotank 1.8 ohm heads for quite a while and they usually perform well and last about 5 days.
However I bought a pack of 5 recently from my usual supplier, and 4 out of the 5 lasted less than a day each (just started on the 5th). They are ok initially but rapidly lose power, with very little vapour or hit. Have tried different batteries, which are quite new, no different. Using same juice as usual.
I have contacted the supplier who has not been very helpful, offering a points credit equivalent to 3 heads (so with postage I would end up paying twice for 5 heads). Is there any reason why this should happen, or is it ,as I suspect, just a duff batch. (With a couple of the heads, they caused the battery to flash blue, which I think is a short circuit). Is there a better head to use with EVOD glass cartos? Thanks for any help.

Could well be a dodgy batch Stan, for most of them to do it sounds odd though. Have you had a go at recoiling yourself, the Kanger single coils (with an extra chimney grommet) are great with a microcoil and cotton wool! Such a shame the vendor isn't very helpful.

I have exactly the same problem with the Aerotank coils. They've lasted between a week and a couple of hours. One was duff straight out of the packet.
Is it possible to rewick these coils. As far as I can see the tube part is fixed to the base of the assembly?
Are The Naturevape direct replacement coils a solution?

The quality of these coils varies a great deal. A juice I usually vape at 3-4 Watt with the last coil I had to go to 8 Watt from the start to get it going. Some go on for quite a while and others kick it after a few hours. I wonder in what back garden shed they are made. I can't imagine Kanger putting something like this on the market so there is probably some copying going on.

^ Wasn't meant for me but thanks for the links.
I will try my luck at re-wicking this weekend. Not much hope though, my fingers aren't meant for operations on tiny things.

Thanks for your suggestions, I may well try the virtual vape coil. I use both the Virual Vape Unicoils / Nature Vape coils and both are great though the unicoils are cheaper quality is about the same. There are users over on UKV that have been using the same coil for around 9 months just re wicking once or twice a week which only takes 5 minutes once you get the hang of it. It works out a lot cheaper than using Kanger coils and the quality of vape from a micro coil cotton setup is far superior than the stock ones.

There are a lot of fake kanger heads about and some suppliers do not even know they are selling fakes. I have been getting mine from Vaping Vision, has own website shop but also sells on Amazon Marketplace with lower prices. Not had a problem with any heads from Vaping Vision and are genuine. Reason I used him is he was only vendor I could find with stock of the earlier version dual coils in 2.0 ohms.
