Wow! That was a quick delivery Jamie! There's a thread on here, with advice on how to fill Smokeymiser's . . . I'll have a squizz for it in a mo. But what I do is, after I've filled the Smokey and inserted the bung back in, is to give a quick blow down the tube . . . with a piece of kitchen paper underneath, as there always seems to be a bit of rogue juice I find. . . that seems to sort any leakage out for me. The juice you're getting through the mouth piece/drip tip, is likely to be more condensation than actual juice . . . but again, I always give the top bit a wipe over before using. . . and reading your post again, it sounds like you're trying to draw without actually powering up the device, which you'll need to leave your finger on the activation button to do so. Here's the thread Jamie . . . allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=tips&thread=4263&page=1#100693

Excellent stuff Jamie, there's normally a relatively easy work around for most of our vaping conundrums.

Hello again all.
My dropping in with an update, so the good news is I'm still not smoking and love the riva. Really happy with it. I was poorly for quite a few weeks (dreadful virus!) so didnt use it that much to being with.
Using it much more now as I expected which I'm pleased because I'm using it to address any cravings and not missing fags at all.
I am still using the tobacco eliquid I bought at the beginning. I enjoy it, but it has a slightly unusual flowery smell. Some people like it, others don't. Is this generally the type of smell you get with liquids?
Do all eliquids have a similar odour?

Hello again Jamie, good to hear you are getting on so well with your Riva Sorry to hear you have been ill though It's not really possible to get a tobacco juice that tastes exactly the same as a cigarette but some are closer than others. Which ones have you tried so far?

Hi Lovely people, you're all as helpful as ever. Many thanks
Im using freedomvape virginia at the moment. That's the only one I've tried. I'm looking to buy some more now so wanted a bit of advice before I went for it.
Really I'd like something that has as little odour as poss. The nearer to a smoking experience the better although I would like to try some of the flavoursome recipes too.
As for the amaretto, Strangley enough I am only really trying it now. I'm not sure what I think TBH, it doesn't have much of a smell which is good. Taste wise it is fairly subtle although a little "chemically"
I know these things can never tatse fully authentic and I am definately more than happy so far, I just wanted a bit of advice before I purchase more liquid.
cheers

While it's pretty easy to recommend good basic kit, juices seem to be more difficult. Your tastebuds mess you around for the first month or so anyway. I'd say if you've got juice you like, get some more, but also get hold of a pick'n'mix selection of little bottles with a variety of flavours. If you wish you had more of a particular little bottle, that's a clue. I normally change flavours two or three times a day. I started off with tobacco flavours but now I almost exclusively get fruit flavours. I've also tried dessert flavours, menthol and various tobaccos. Nobody can tell you what you like, only what they like. Try a few out.

jamie, as you get further in to vaping your tastes will change, especially if you've gone from fags to vaping. Your taste sense will get better and your ability to smell will be heightened, so what you like will change. You just have to try a few juices to find whats good for you. try some samplers from sites. At paradise vapes you can buy 5ml for £3 each. have a look through the flavours and just go for it! You may be suprised what you like. Or you could look in the classifieds here for people selling stuff on or swapping.

Chrissie when you mention the walnut pipe and golden burginia do you mix them or are you talking separately. Ignorance again on my part can you mix different juices together indoors if you think they may go well together?

Yes Anne, I still like strong tobacco flavours Whufc, although I meant them separately, you can mix any of the juices together to create whatever flavour you fancy
