Hi all, I have done some more mixing today, I am hoping for a better success rate this time I have made some strawberry licorice using anise for the licorice flavour. My question is, does anise need steeping? I have tried a little of the mix this evening and it could do with a little more anise for my taste but I don't want to add more if the flavour will develop with a bit of steeping. Thanks

I used chefs vapour the rebranded range anise and I did 2% (along with 18% sweet strawberry and 1% ethyl maltol)

I haven't used that one . . . but with Decadent Vapours, 5% works for me. I'd think you could happily go a couple of percent higher.

Forgot to add Perpetua I take it that it doesn't need steeping?
