Feeling rough today...

Early evening yesterday I started to get a sore throat and it has worsened overnight and has an annoying cough now too, but 2 of my sons have had a viral throat infection and cough lasting nearly 3 weeks so looks like its my turn grrrrr..

I was vaping throughout the day yesterday and this morning until 11am where after everytime I had one I had a strong acid reflux sensation in my throat ...i do however suffer from this a lot as I have some long term stomach issues but today its made me feel so rough that since 11am I have not touched my aspire at all but weirdly don't feel like I need it either.

I was not a particularly heavy smoker and its coming up to 3 weeks without one but have noticed the last few days the throat hit from the 18mg has become a little too much...could I drop to a 12mg or is it too soon ?
The 12 which I have tried is easier on me and my acid problem just hope its not the vaping that's causing the excess acid as heard it possibly can..And is it unusual to go all day not even wanting a vape or even missing it?

Any thoughts on this much appreciated.

In times like this get a 12mg and if it aint helping you still have the 18mg.

Also have you tried a higher vg juice as it doesn't have the strong throat hit that pg does.

Dropping to12/14 if you feel your ready go for it.
Stomach issue wise I have heard rare cases of citrus flavours upsetting peeps stomachs.
Are you on omeprazole/lanzoprazole? These would help with excess stomach acid and reflux. Over the counter zantac might help at a push.
If you mix your own liquids mix up my lockets recipe definitely a cold helper ( in recipe section)
I'm sorry I cannot send you any ( would if i could ) but I'm off on fishing trip tonight to Cornwall for 5 nights with my dad and a few friends.

Also do what you think would be comfortable for you, give the 12mg a shot for a few days

Thanks for comments, its only been 20 years of stomach troubles and they still not found anything wrong after countless endescopes through the mouth into the stomach which I wouldn't recommend whilst awake its like a hot snake slithering inside your belly and taking sharp biopsies which you feel as though you been bitten in the stomach not nice at all but far worse is the insertion down the throat..gagging, cough, splutter but still they go for it and you have to put up and shut up till their done ... the only thing they found in 1994 was a duodenal ulcer which was treated and healed nicely but 20 yrs on I still get 3 or 4 day sickness bugs every month regular which totally zonks you out and wipes your energy to ''0''.

But my excess acid cleared for a while and recently come back but before I started vaping so can't really be that...I have been under extreme stress lately though which will do it everytime.

Your probably just having a bit of a bad patch with the acid reflux , and vaping can SOME TIMES exaggerate it especially if your vaping any menthol liquids , I know how you feel I also been there. I would just suggest vape when your feeling up to it till your back to feeling normal again.

Funny enough I was using an 18mg Menthol when this started but think its more to do with me just feeling groggy from this viral bug my lovely sons passed on to me

I have acid reflux theferret and I pretty much cured it with acidophilus which is less than £10 from the health food shop.....

I tried the GP stuff. It didn't work. I went to the health food shop and after 6 months of acidophilus I only take it now when I have a flare up. It's so good the GP refuses to prescribe me the stomach stuff....

Try it as well as upping your VG (if you have lots of 18mg I wouldn't even bother ordering the 12mg/ml. Just get someone to do the maths on here. Pop down to boots and get yourself a wee pill bottle and a bottle of glycerin (or however it's spelt - should be in the cough medicines bit next to things like honey, lemon and glycerine. Get the value stuff) and try to see if that helps, keeping the 18mg/ml in reserve

There is a sort of a throat bug doing the round up here. I have had it twice in a couple of months and it lasts about 3 weeks each time.

Whenever I get it I switch to a 50/50 VG/PG mix which in turn is 50/50 menthol and spearmint mix.
It may or may not do the throat any good but at least I can still enjoy my vape without it aggravating anything already there.
