Though I'm beginning to feel more than a bit sorry for the Parrot Charity . . . surely they must have more than 27 supporters.

Perpy I think people don't realise how badly damaged parrots can be mentally by being mistreated. Also they ain't cuddly & furry with big smiley eyes.

I remember watching an upsetting documentary on parrots who had literally "lost the plot" due to mistreatment & neglect. They literally pulled all their feathers out & reminded me of those poor orphans in those countries such as Bosnia.

Very distressing. That's one of the reason I chose the parrot charity as I knew the charity you suggested was going to get the right number of votes anyway

Yes, it's a one off vote sadly Lilac. . . else I'd be bumping up the parrots. . . who only have 30 votes the last time I looked.

I saw that documentary as well Hissie, just shows how all creatures suffer if they're neglected and not treated properly.

A shameless bumples from me, as we've had so many new members join since I started this thread.

The wee Parrots are still shy of qualifying for any donation by 69 votes - they need 200.

Although the charity closest to my heart, Rudozem are so far the winners , but the other two will also get a donation.

The prizes are:

1st place - £5,000
2nd place - £2,000
3rd place - £1,500
4th place - £1,500

With funds being tight for everyone, charitable giving has plummeted in recent times and shelters are bursting with unwanted animals. . . it will be a huge tonic and a great help to the volunteers & creatures if they can receive any funding, so please vote if you feel able to.
